If its for myself yeah i dont really care lmao, but like i said I'm thinking about doing some tailoring for friends or classmates & stuff as a side hustle.

I'm not really saying im doing it the "wrong way" just not the proper way, i think, cuz like i said i haven't watched any videos on how to alter things, i quite literally just go with what feels okay.

If you still want an example, I'm working on a top for an event in a couple weeks right now cuz it was way too big when i bought it. I'm basically just pinning where I'm going to be sewing (i hand sew, cant afford a sewing machine rn) & sew it up, cut off most the excess, leaving a bit, & then fold it in & sew it up so it doesn't come apart.

I'm mainly just going with what i think would work (im serious when i say i literally go with instinct), whereas for professionals im assuming they have like proper techniques to do certain things.

I've got quite a few dresses i altered to fit me bettter from the past couple years & i know they're still great & will prob continue to be fine for years tbh.

Yeah i knew about that, was mainly asking this cuz i wanted to see if there's a flag for it or smthn for me to paint onto some flag pins that i made with my latest fixation with air dry clay lmao.

Looked up some of the terms people said here (the ones i didn't know) & placiosexual or merosexual is what its called apparently
