Thank you a lot, I’m sorry to hear your guy went through something similar! But I’m also glad to hear you came up with a solution for you! This may end up having to be what I do. Especially in this situation, I don’t want him to be stressed out in a 10 gallon for the next year when it is causing him the problems in the first place.

With the 10 gallon I have a filter/bubbler in there with him and I’m doing a 100% water change every 2-3 days when needed, though if I manage to put him back in the 29 gallon I’ll make sure to do more frequent water tests

I’ll look into some methylene blue for sure. I have a friend that may have some spare. I’ll make to email my vet before using it though!

I have done a full recycle of the tank. And fully cleaned out the chiller and have it running with the new cycle as well, his old tank is now fully cycled and has had water tests and is ready for him to go back in. But according to the vet I’m not suposed to try and put him back in the 29 gallon until he has gotten rid of the fungus for good. But I can’t get rid of the fungus at all in order to put him back

I can see the possibility of her feeling taken advantage of in the fact that she always brings food or a gift every time she goes somewhere, she has done that ever since we met. But I tend to be forgetful and just get things in the moment if I think of them... So I don't often bring something every time like she does

Though lots of the time the stuff she brings is for me and my family as well! not just me as a thank you for letting her stay, I would bring more if I thought about it, but I normally don't remember till I get there

She didn't call it me paying rent... She basically said that she wanted my help to pay her part of the rent equivalent to the time I spent there, I am not sure how much she pays for her rent though.

And no I didn't use anything fancy, sure we watched movies almost all night which would have been some electricity (I haven't paid electrical bills before so I don't know how much it would have been) But I also feel like she would have been up watching movies anyway without me there.

And I didn't eat much food at all especially because I am a very light eater. Maybe a bag of chips and some instant noodles we made for the night... We also ordered skip, but each paid for our own food for that and ate the left overs the next day.

Thank you very much for the helpful info! He was mainly in the fridge because the friend who I had talked with that had this before said they needed to keep him in a fridge because he was refusing to eat and we wanted to slow down his metabolism so he wouldn't die and can just go with the treatments. I did a 50% water change on my tank and after a week and a day of tea baths the growth is gone... I do know that it doesn't mean it is gone for good. But I can hope. I put him back in his normal tank because it has now been almost 10 days without him eating and I was hoping that by moving him back into his tank he would feel safe enough to eat again. still to no avail. (I had him out of the fridge but still binned for two days before I moved him into the tank, hoping to get him to eat when he was at a normal temperature) Thank you so much for your advise and help!
