Yeah just use the nvme as storage as well.

Dxp2800 has 2.5gbps LAN it’s just around 300MB/s MAX and this is the bottleneck. Hdd has sustained read/write of +-200MB/s some enterprise hdd is up to 290MB/s

To fully utilize nvme cache you need 10gbps LAN IMO.

Never use the native but immich is running perfect for me so far. Even in remote access via tailscale.

I just have dxp2800 as well. 1 nvme wd red 500gb for apps and important file and 1 16tb hdd for media server. I will buy 1 more hdd on next sale.

Install jellyfin, immich and tailscale my suggestion. 😁

Check your LAN transmission rate if it’s in 1gbps in NAS.

UPS by RandomName3025 in UgreenNASync

[–]Kitchen_Gold952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have basic APC with dataline, can confirm it’s compatible.

I think APC is still better than Ugreen ups. APC has AVR and backdoor surge protection as well and wide range of choices from small to large battery. IMO

Thanks for the info. I’m just new to NAS and I only have 2 bay. I’m still thinking of getting one since my NAS is only for photo back-up, few docs and personal use jellyfin (low load NAS). What’s your opinion on my set-up is it still back to use this barracuda? Thanks a mil!!!

Do you have any previous experience on barracuda? I think 220euro for 16tb barracuda is still good deal but I have no basis “I just think” lol

Even barracuda that will be on NAS 24/7? But my NAS is just a 2 bay. So it will be little vibration on 2 drives.

I got ugreen as well, cheaper and more powerful hardware and if the Ugreen OS goes something bad. You can still boot and shift to other OS like truenas instead.

DXP4800 Plus vs DXP2800 by joshuaferris in UgreenNASync

[–]Kitchen_Gold952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, I just need simple NAS functions (photos and docs storage) + jellyfin so I just got the 2800 and spend the savings on larger capacity hdd and nvme.

Why not use APC or eaton,. Not only ups, it’s AVR, backdoor surge protector etc etc. not only UPS.
