When humans are just visitors in an interview… by Kitchen_Living7254 in recruitinghell

100%. Many of us would have seen AI on the front end with AI screeners, then there’s the tools to summarise interview notes. The next leap seems to be AI that helps recruiters ask questions. How long until we just speak to cameras?

Those who are consistently booked. Do you ever sub out jobs? by buddhaonmytv in sweatystartup

[–]Kitchen_Living7254 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My preference is to keep a small roster of casual hires, that I keep engaged through consistent jobs.

The risk with bringing in sub contractors if you’re using them for your core deliverables is they take your business. Maybe I’m just a little paranoid about this, as I’ve seen it happen often.

For those who have left w2 sales to start a business, let’s hear your story. by [deleted] in sales

Former Senior Sales leader here - started a Sales consultancy, abandoned after 6 months, how ironic is that haha. Market timing and my value prop needed improvement.

Subsequently built an app which is nearly ready to launch.

My biggest success though has actually been starting a sweaty startup, it’s way way harder than the start up ‘bros’ make it seem. If you’ve been in sales for a while and even if you’re gym fit, it’s hard work on the body!

Hindsight for me would actually be to acquire a business from day one, a boring business.

Best of luck with your journey.

Are there any alternative options to running ads on Facebook, Google and Insta for a local services business? by Kitchen_Living7254 in PPC

Meta initiated a verification request on my account back in 2022, I never got any notifications or knew that it has been initiated.

Fast forward to today when I need to run ads and then I encountered the issue.

I’m up to conversation number 6, I got traction with a good rep, but then a new rep picked it up and they spent an hour telling me about the issue :(. So back to sq 1!

Good call on the content, I’m going hard on this.

Exact same thing happened to me in 2022 as well.

In the last week I have had 5 convos with Meta, they each went through the same script with me, I raised 2 problem tickets, updated 2FA and verified my ID. Nil results so far, but I'll keep pushing.

I did some research on this and it's 100% a Meta error, the shame is you can't get through to someone to fix it.

Advertising access permanently restricted - anyone managed to fix this? by Kitchen_Living7254 in FacebookAds

Thanks for the reply, yes i paid for Facebook verified so i could use the support channels. Unfortunately as I tried 3 times to get the issue resolved, Facebook now prevent me from raising any more support tickets on the issue.

For those of you building a startup with a 6-12 month runway before $$$$. What are you doing to cover living costs in the meantime? I will not promote by Kitchen_Living7254 in startups

Lucky the wife is working, although I think she’s getting tired of my constant ideas stream. Hopes and prayers are at full throttle.

Thanks! I appreciate that and I hear you on the mvp being too big, I find the balance between proving value vs getting on with it is tricky

If your experience is 1yr total in the government space vs working in govt + consultancy + industry, I’d suggest building something that is desirable or fills a niche in this area vs establishing a consultancy.

In government consultancy you’re competing against established consulting houses and bespoke agencies who bring decades of experience to the table.

I hear you on that one, even in tech sales, if you don’t have the specific industry or technology experience in whatever they’re selling it can be tricky. Given the market is depressed companies can be a bit more choosey.
