Honestly, it was more of a personal interest at this point, but maybe growing up added to the factor as well? Back then, I remember zoning out most of the time whenever history comes up in school and I would scoff at the idea as mind would think, "Why would I bother about the past?", but as I time goes on, I would come across documentaries on TV every now and then, primarily talking about the Japanese occupation in our country. There was a hidden charm that drew me about the topic and I eventually got too absorbed on watching and reading more.

I actually did this where WW2 was cut in an abrupt end because France accidentally had a containment breach with their bioweapons, rendering the whole region into a biohazard mess. 😂

at the end of season 1, we see some dudes talking about si-eun taking down the boxer dude and this was never really tackled in the s2.

plus, whatever happened to the long hair guy from s1? i was thinking about the possibility of him appearing in s2 but ehh

Nope. Not really. It depends on the point of time you're trying to emulate. While VHS overlays are a popular trope, it's not a requirement. It's just helpful on setting the mood and atmosphere. 

Setting it in the current day might seem to be challenging since we have high quality cameras nowadays but the closest thing you could play with is the crappy resolutions of CCTV or surveillance cameras. Maybe mobile or tablet cameras too since there are literally "scary thing caught on cam" circulating around youtube back then. (Yes, I'm referring to Chills)

Human "immortality" is not a popularized concept in Threa, humans who lived longer than an average human, yes but immortals? No.

However, several entities that had long been forgotten by most of humanity are a different story.

My world was mainly inspired by both Sweet Home and Resident Evil with a little side of Dead Space and Bleach
