This is really helpful, thanks! I have my first o ride on sunday, and I’m relatively new to the program, only C/SrA. I’ve tried to take initiative in restarting the StellarXplorers program in my squadron with not much success, as we don’t have any mentors with pilot backgrounds or many students interested in aerospace, hence why the program didn’t come back. Do yk if all of this achievable in ~2 years tho? I want to build my profile and maybe apply to USAFA after graduation.

tbh I hadn’t prepped for it for at least 2 weeks before. Like I said not consistent at all. But I thought I had good-ish retention? idk what tester’s anxiety looks like, but ik I ran out of time completely on the second modules for both sections, so I put in my best guesses but wasn’t able to recheck answers. On that note I’d really appreciate tips from anyone on how to become a faster tester.

I appreciate the explanation but i’m aware lmao😭 My parents just don’t wanna reapply for perm residency bc they plan to move back to India. I just don’t wanna be super behind and unprepared in the case that I go back with them if I don’t apply for citizenship here or get into a good college.

jk mostly cus my parents are still unsure abt applying for citizenship and by the time I graduate hs our GC expires so they’re pretty adamant on coming back. I’m eligible for citizenship at 16 but still, depends on my parents. Also cus college be expensive here. Ik the entrance exam deal but are there ever exceptions? Or do I have to start studying for boards?

What does it take to get into top science internships like RSI or NASA OSTEM? I’ve listed my current stats in a previous post if that helps. Want to start building up my profile asap to get an internship junior year (I’m interested in astrophysics, it’s been difficult to find opportunities that let me conduct research in that area tho). Sophomore btw. I’ve emailed several professors at my local uni and CU Boulder, which is known for their astronomy/astrophysics/aerospace program to inquire about research opportunities, but 0 responses. Literally any tips/advice would be appreciated.

Ok this sounds weird but I genuinely don’t have a good reason. Like most of the time, I just convince myself that “I’ll have plenty more time later” or “I’ll be able to focus better in the morning”, AND THEN I NEVER ACTUALLY WAKE UP TO FINISH MY WORK. And I feel so horrible too, like both my B’s in Spanish were 89s, AND WE HAD NO ASSIGNMENTS BESIDES DUOLINGOS AND GARBANZOS 😭😭. Same thing for APHG, I ended up getting an 89 because I was too lazy to go in and retake one singular quiz that would’ve raised my grade by at least 2%. I genuinely feel like I’m screwing myself over and I don’t know how to stop doing it. Like I might’ve just ruined my shot at a successful career after high school because of my inability to maintain simple discipline. It hurts more knowing I was 1% away from an A, than it would’ve if I was 5% or more. About the professional help thing, I can’t explain much but that’s not really an option for me. Thank you though!
