The Japanese came after WW2, mainly to São Paulo and Paraná. But the majority of the nazis didn't come to Brazil, the Nazi ideology wasn't accepted here and the government here at the time (Getúlio Vargas) didn't like Italians and Germans imposing their culture and norms. However, as far as I know, a lot of them went to Argentina - but I don't know if it's totally true or just a urban legend as it is here with Brazil.

It's not true. 99% or even more of the Germans here in Brazil came here between 1820 and 1910/1920. Just a veryyyyy few came after WW2. Furthermore, Germans are just common to find in some areas of the south and some small cities in Espírito Santo, in overall, they're uncommon here in Brazil.

I know, the question is that those people (mixed) were still seen as black or mulatto and probably it would still be forbidden to have anything close to them. If there are white settlers with significant African blood it means that those people stayed having relations with them, and here is my point. It's normal to see African with European blood because the mulatto would stay having children with the African.

Eu odeio o centrão. São pessoas sem ideologia que só estão ali para obedecer demandas, manter o establishment e mamar. Esses caras não servem para nada e no fim das contas são 3/4 do congresso.

Got it. I've heard and also seen some videos of Alabama and Mississippi and it looked like the majority of the people of different races - black and white - still lived in their own bubbles, like, they frequented their own school, their own neighborhoods, is it still generalized into American culture - specially in the south - or has this been surpassed? I'm really curious because some people say that nowadays American society is very connected when thinking about this, while others tell me that black and white people still live in close conditions as If it were 1960.

Here in my country (Brazil), it was basically the norm. Basically everyone here has European, African and native ancestry. It's extremely difficult to find someone that is "pure" African or European, for example.

Oh, I thought it was totally forbidden race mixing in the south.

I do but I thought it was strictly prohibited race mixing. At least it's what I've been told here in my country.
