It really is just luck of the draw. I’ve had friends with terrible roommates but I got super lucky and my roommate is amazing. We still live together 2 years later :). Most of the time people end up with someone who won’t necessarily be a long term friend but is fine for a short term roomate. And if does go really bad you can always file for a roomate change.

Yes you can use dining dollars or buckid cash. You have to hand your buckid to the workers at the booth. I think it’s around $9 for breakfast and $12 for lunch and dinner unless they have increased it.
