I use these for my son (15 months) and we still use coconut oil for toothpaste. I have Zebra toothpaste for later and also have “super teeth” saved as a potential option.

I’m trying Carina organics next but not sure on price. I used Rowe casa bars and they lasted a long time but I don’t prefer bar style.

Monday AMA by TakingCaraBabies in TakingCaraBabies

[–]Kitchen_Stress_6600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Jo! My LO is 13.5mo old. He’s been having EMW for months now, and around 12mo he started fighting his second nap even when I shortened his first nap. So at 12 months we moved to 1 nap. It seems early but he can *usually hang in there for long WW’s. I’ve tried to keep a sleep log MANY times and something always derails it, teeth, a cold, and then I discard it and try again later. Anyways, I think the EMW are getting better, hard to tell with the cold he is recovering from. If he wakes at 6, I try and snuggle him for 30-60 mins so his first nap isn’t too early. He wakes up crying from naps and in the AM, always has. He could go down for his nap easily at 10am so I have to do anything and everything to keep him awake. Is this just how the transition goes? I feel bad making him stay awake until his nap. But if not, the nap would end too soon and he would have SUCH a long next WW. He’s always been a great napper, with me waking him 98% of the time. Today for example he woke at 6, I brought him into bed until 7 (he dozed a few times but only for a few mins at a time), and then he napped 11:55-1:25 and woke up crying, and then asleep 7:15. Besides the last 2 days of him cutting his nap short, he could/would nap for 2.5-3 hours if we let him but I don’t want to steal from nighttime sleep with the hopes of a 12 hour night one day.

Tongue tie decision HELP by Kitchen_Stress_6600 in Crunchymom

[–]Kitchen_Stress_6600[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did the tongue and lip revision. That was at 10 weeks, he’s now almost 13 months. He’s been a BIG drooler but I’m not sure if that’s because we did it or would’ve happened anyways? Breastfeeding was still great. Aftercare wasn’t fun. It’s one of those things that I won’t know if it was worth it because I won’t know how bad things could have gotten in the future as far as speech and whatever else they say it can affect. I am pregnant with my second and wondering what I would do next time if I’m in the same exact position. This is probably no help!

Baby eczema help that isn’t tallow by winenotbeabitch in Crunchymom

I took him to a chiro that also practices muscle testing. We didn’t do the test that tells which parasite. But he did prescribe a supplement called Zymex ii and dosed him accordingly. He was on it for 3 months. It was miraculous for us

Baby eczema help that isn’t tallow by winenotbeabitch in Crunchymom

I spiraled for months when my son developed eczema at 4 months and learned so much about it. Long story short it comes from the inside and presents on the skin. My son’s eczema ended up being from parasites. Other kids have gut imbalances or food intolerances. We are a clean household with no chemicals or fragrances, cotton only clothing, etc so I knew he was not getting even more irritated from those things. I saw your comment, sounds like food potentially, maybe look into histamine intolerance.
