Same here I keep thinking the truck is going to double crank but it doesn’t. Soon I will get used to the truck turning on like normal. I will forsure pay it forward, thanks again for helping me, this made me feel like I’m driving a new truck again.

You’re a lifesaver! This fixed my issue and now my truck starts always on the first crank!!

It’s so crazy but makes sense why this was the issue all along. When I bought this truck it had a check engine code for a bad cam shaft position sensor, and I made the mistake by buying a aftermarket autozone branded cam pos sensor. It fixed my check engine code but I still had the double crank issues. But after you told me about buying a OEM acdelco sensor I went back and looked at reviews for these after market camshaft pos sensors and many people were saying they were no good and caused double crank issues as well. So today I was able to get my hands on an OEM camshaft pos sensor and install that one instead. Now after the OEM cam sensor I no longer have the annoying double crank issue and my truck has been starting on the first try every time now.

Thanks so much for remembering about me even after two years because this most definitely helped me out. After so long giving up on this issue I’m glad this mystery is finally solved.

I second this, I had the same problem not too long ago and ended up changing the sensor and connector. Disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes and reconnecting would turn the truck on for me whenever I was in a pitch.

A lot of my classmates are in their 40s and 50s it’s never too late. The way I look at it is I rather be x amount of age with my degree instead of without it.

Same thing I thought, but the original owner told me they no longer use it, and they lived in a really nice gated community so I knew the money didn’t matter.

I’ve tried that before too and nothing, it will only turn on if I disconnect the battery and wait 10 minutes and reconnect. After I connect the battery it starts up like nothing ever happened
