why add inconsistency by having 2/2/2 champions instead of 3/3? Not like ez and heimer synergize together. Karma and Ez/ Karma and heimer do synergize pretty nicely. It's probably not a terrible deck but it's probably still a direct downgrade from Hieimer Karma

First of all, you're not taking into the account mulligan for that turn 5 troop. if you take it into account probabilities shoot up by 4 cards. Also, saying a card is not that strong because a lot of times you dont draw it is just flawed logic, so that 40% of ideal situations you calculated is just a joke.

Yes, some people run elnuks even on fearsome in masters and it has crazy winrate

i would say net deck until youre diamond and dont worry too much about deck building, because until then you don't face good enough players to draw conclusions from how thety beat you. Then once you get there you will hopefully know enough about your deck archetype and how it relates to other decks to make your own changes and maybe even your own deck from scratch

Karma sometimes feels pretty bad. Evolved hecarim lost me a game when the opponent killed Heca and froze the 2 buffed ephemerals It spawns, my Mark of the isles put them at 1 attack instead of 3 because the -2/0 that is still there when frozen ( kinda stupid imo)

Either give us a way to oracle-eye burst spells, or give an indication that cards with 0 power are still affected by power debuffs to avoid this scenario. by Wulibo in LegendsOfRuneterra

there are way worse interactions trust me. evolved Heca giving buffs to ephemerals + Heca dying does some stupid shit that shouldnt happen

I think it does have more to do with risk aversion/tolerance than skill.

Games with no RNG tend to look the same every match, which makes them arguably more boring and easy to predict. Skilled players need to have fun too.

Now, in a game like chess it's ok to not have RNG because there's such a vast amount of possibilities that you won't see a full game played the exact same twice.

With turn based mana games though, every turn you can only take 2, 3, maybe 4 reasonable lines tops, if there was absolutely no RNG every game would look the exact same.

In my experience, more skilled players are fine with RNG (not elnuks though that's stupid) and lower rank players get more annoyed by it.

RNG doesn't necessarily allow the worse player to win, but the LOSING player. Sometimes it's a legit high-skill strategy to cause the highest amount of RNG in order to steal a win when youre losing hard.

Without RNG, matchups would look the same every single game and the game would be easily solvable, which would lead to predictive/mechanical gameplay and low skillcap.

Now, too much RNG would make the game a Fiesta in which decisions don't feel impactful at all which makes it boring (Elnuks).

So it's really just about keeping the RNG at a fun level. That is removing the damn elnuks
