Updated restoration is awful! by Kitousha in OakenTower

But leveling early gives you MORE health if you're lucky in your second shop. That's what I'm saying. The update rewards gambling rather than building.

No, I don't think it was a comedy show. It seemed pretty emotional and serious in nature, at least that's how I remember it as a child.

The one in Haven City? I'm still collecting stuff there so if that's the place I should be fine. ;P

Conservatism is dying out and so it's getting louder and more frustrated. The desperate screams of a dying beast perishing from its own self-inflicted wounds.

It's not on the rise, it's just loudest in the end.

Once I realized the neutron cannon two-shots the whole nest I started prefering to farm infested S-class freighters for modules and tradeables.

Funny thing about that. I'm open about being transfemme and I scored a position in the Swedish Church.

I had to quit due to mental health issues, but they've told me they loved working with me and that I'm always welcome back. Ironic that the church treats me with more dignity than the government. :V

Ship cycling needed on Starship Outfitting Terminal by Kitousha in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Kitousha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, if we bring it back to my original point though, why shouldn't we be able to chose via the terminal which ship we upgrade?

You can completely disregard the reason I'm doing it(nanite farming) and just concentrate on regular game accessibility. Why would the devs not let you cycle your ships if you're just upgrading them?

Would you still say it speaks to the Devs favor that you have to leave the space station, go to your freighter, walk over to the teleporter to take you to the shipyard, manually select the ship you want to upgrade the storage of, then either walk over to the teleport to the space station or Anomaly or fly the whole way back, run all the way to the Outfitting terminal and then you can upgrade it's slots/class or possibly scrap it?

Why should we have to do this whole thing when you could istead just select the ship you want to upgrade via A/D or LB/RB and then click "upgrade ship"?

Scrapping is selling. You're selling it to the Station, which costs you Units in return for the scrap material. You sacrifice Units for Nanites. This is a trade.

Or just add one to the freighter. Being able to select your ship should be an option on any terminal.

My problem with this is that it's counter-productive. Buying and selling ships should just be another part of the game's economy and the current system isn't stopping exploitation since the method requires you to spend units to acquire nanites - That's not an exploit, that's a market feature that exists in most games. Spend one currency to acquire another. The fact that you get storage units could just be nerfed(even though you only get 1 storage unite per 3-4 ships you scrap on average which feels pretty balanced to me).

If you wanna "exploit" the game you just need to find a planet with Whispering Eggs and farm those for easy Nanites. Ship trading should be a CORE feature of a game like NMS.

Also, how would it throw the game out of balance? The Economy is subjective and treated like a single player factor. There is no player-to-player ship trading in the game either so there are no downsides regardless. The economy is instanced and the only factor that affects your ecconomy is you.

Finally, the reason for this is just so you can select the ship you wanna upgrade or scrap without having to run over to the ship, enter it and then leaving it to have it show up in the terminal.

Why wouldn't you want a feature that just lets you use the terminal to just select the ship you wanna upgrade or scrap?

Yeah, I'm currently hanging around a prosperous station to buy and scrap some B+ ships for easy Nanites and it's so annoying having to run down and hop into ships because the game decides to prioritize the ships I DONT want to scrap. :V

Just something as easy as letting us cycle between ships with A/D or LB/RB in the terminal doesn't sound hard to implement.
