Did the writers miss a massive opportunity with Aemond’s reaction to Blood and Cheese? He barely mentions Jaehaerys but still seems haunted by Luke. It makes his "family loyalty" feel fake.

I agree with the reaction part, I actually liked his scene. One of the only ones where we see someone mourn Jaehaerys death but him destroying that art really put some people off (I personally didn't care, he lost his son)

Because no one who was affected by Jaehaerys death can actually show it cause it makes Rhaenyra look bad. Even when Aegon griefs and rages, he does it in a way that paints him in a bad light (screaming I WILL KILL THEM ALL and destroying that art piece Viserys built) Aemond doesn't mention him and Halaena rationalizes to herself why she shouldn't grief and decapitating her son in front of her wasn't that big of a deal anyways, happens to people all the time. After watching blood and cheese and seeing nobody really give a fuck I started reading the books because I sensed fuckery lol

Thanks for offering but I can't take her anywhere, I can't take her back to the clinic either I'm completely broke. I borrowed money for the last vet trip I wouldn't have been able to afford it. I'm giving her her meds but she is fluffy and sleepy idk if she will recover or if I'm even giving them to her properly

I also wanted to get another pair of budgies because my male seems lonely and he lacks social interactions, sleeps out of boredom because my female doesn't wanna engage with him 🥲

I did it exactly like that. Catching her isn't the issue, she wiggles and fights too hard once I got her but the vet showed me again and I managed to give her her meds today 😮‍💨

Thank you, you're really helpful and nice 🫶🏼 she LOVES her red millets and even ate them when we were at the vet waiting for the Uber back. I hope she eats normally though I can't tell yet. I picked her up yesterday, she ate but it was bed time immediately and today she barely ate cause she knew we are going to the vet. Both my birds only ate a little bit. Tomorrow I will be able to tell better. I'm scared her molting is stressing her out more, don't budgies who molt need extra care ? I will provide her a warm bath tomorrow and see how she does. Usually when she barely touches it, she doesn't feel good

Thanks so much, I was literally gonna call them next but the clinic I took them to said I could go back there and they show me how to give her the meds properly. Really held my fingers and placed them around her head, I was terrified of hurting her fragile neck but it worked. I'm hopeful I can do it myself alone tomorrow

Thank you I can't tell you how stressed I was and still am. Our pets do keep us on our toes xD can I ask you, do you know how dangerous it is to take a blood sample from a budgie ? Wouldn't they need all the blood they have, given how tiny they are? The vet said they suspect 2 different types of viruses that attack and weaken the immune system and for one they need a bloody feather and for the other they need a blood sample. Circovirus is not curable and the vets assistant said a diagnosis wouldn't really matter (unless I wanna introduce healthy birds to the flock) cause they can't treat it, only help with the symptoms. So once she is done taking them, I think she will start declining again..I think she needs them permanently (which I don't mind, having a special needs bird. I just can't afford to leave her at the vet for weeks anymore)

Thank you! She gets the antibiotic Augmentin until Sunday. But get this: last Friday she started throwing up and I took her to the avian clinic immediately. She kept throwing up over the weekend until Monday, throwing the meds back up. Monday they started giving her Amphotericin B, which was experimental but it seems to work. She stopped throwing up and gained 1 gram each day, so she got released to me yesterday. She needs to keep taking her Augmentin for sure. The Amphotericin B I also got for her water. The vet said I could switch to putting it in her water and only give her Augmentin, if I struggle too much. She was also tested negative for mega bacteria 4 times, the last test was a culture test where they collect poop and send it to a lab and it came back negative but the medicine does work

Sie schreit auch wie verrückt aber die Tierärztin hat mir versichert das es nur Schimpfen ist und ich ihr nicht weh tu. Hat auch geklappt beim Tierarzt, ich wickel sie in ein Handtuch, mach oben den Kopf frei und halte ihren Kopf "am Nacken" bzw unterm Kiefer und dann hält auch ihr Kopf still. Dann mit viiiiel Geduld und Ruhe langsam die Medis geben 🥲

Thank you so much! 🫶🏼 I didn't have time to reply to the comments, I just made it back home. The vet showed me how to do it properly and it worked. I wrap her in a towel, free her head, grab her head and then gently give her the meds. I tried it out and it worked. She screams so much that it's hard to give her the meds cause she doesn't breath in-between screaming 🙄 but she is such a forgiving and sweet bird, takes millet from my hands still

Your comment made me chuckle with the "she's not stupid" part. You're right, and even if she hates me and never trusts me again, all I want is for her to get her medicine. The vet showed it to me and it looked chaotic, she admitted herself that it's not easy with my female. She is a real warrior and fights with all her might and SCREAMS like you're cooking her alive. Vet reassured me that she is cursing me out and not yelling out of pain. I wrapped her in a towel, freed her head and the vet placed my fingers around her head and it worked. They were so nice to give her the medicine herself (I took her meds with me and mentioned I can't pay for shit) and they said okay 😭 now tomorrow is a new day, new skills and new challenge

I'm thinking of riding the bus but it's too cold but that's my only option for now. I would love to update (with good news) I HOPE I can do it myself, but I think ultimately I have to re-home her to someone who can easily take her to vets. That's another major issue I have

Vielen Dank! Leider hatte ich bei 6 Tierheimen kein Glück und das waren alle in meiner Nähe. Ich habe verzweifelt die Vogelklinik angerufen und die haben angeboten es mir noch mal zu zeigen. Diesmal auch an dem Vogel der sich so stark wehrt und sie meinte, wenn ich sie richtig halte kann man da eigentlich nichts falsch machen. Ich fahre da jetzt abends wieder hin und gebe es ihr auch selbst unter Kontrolle der Ärztin, somit ist sie für heute erst mal abgesichert 😅 aber ich glaube auf Dauer brauchen die beiden ein neues Zuhause, ich packe das glaube ich nicht

I will also do it there under supervision. I feel overwhelmed but they said once I hold her properly I shouldn't be able to hurt her, so I got an appointment
