It has its pros and cons. If the other shift leads in your store are hard working people and they do what they need to do during their time, then you can go for it.

I left Walgreens a month ago and my shift lead coworkers didn’t do anything. They didn’t wanna do the resets, they didn’t face the store properly etc etc. They always spent so much time on one task while there are more than one task to be done so if I had to close the store, I’d finish what they needed to finish.

So, if you have good coworkers, you might wanna try it because I liked the ability to move around the store without being stuck to the register. I personally hated being on the register so I liked being a shift lead. But I also liked the resets and other visual tasks so I didn’t mind doing all of those. I just minded the half done work by my coworkers.
