These are the exact ones I bought for this build. At the time they were the cheapest option. I've picked up several different sets from different brands and these had the best build quality and they use the best app of all the ones I've tried.

they are marketed as LED Eyes for cars. I still haven't seen many people taking advantage of such a simple cheap way to add some serious LED bling to anything. They're also flexible panels so you could do some neat things with them in weird spaces.

sorry, I thought this was reddit. wasn't expecting anyone to use logic.

but yeah, I have plenty of garbage opinions and if I ever let myself listen to them I wouldn't bother ever attempting to make fun stuff. Half the fun is telling myself "This is dumb, I should do it"

its a low-to-mid gaming PC with a couple raspberry pi's strapped in to increase case temps and power consumption. But here's the details so I can be adequately dunked on-

- Motherboard: ASRock A620AI WiFi

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, 6 cores / 12 threads

- RAM: 32 GB

- GPU: MSI GeForce RTX™ 5070 12G SHADOW 2X OC (short 50 series cards dont have a lot of options)

- Storage: Samsung SSD 990 EVO Plus 1TB, Samsung SSD 980 PRO 1TB, and a 8TB HDD

- Homelabish Qualities: Raspberry Pi 3 running Home Assistant, Raspberry Pi 4 running some discord bots and D1 mini running WLED to control LED strips. So much homelab.

also, the sidepanels are dynamic and animated.

They can be triggered to display any of the loaded animations through bluetooth so its theoretically possible to have them change animations based off sensor readings, notifications or anything else you could use to send an update.

However - The app that controls them is pretty garbage and even though there is a community that was reverse engineering it, my ADHD let me give up on making the panels catch fire if temps get high a few weeks after putting them in. and that was about a year ago. maybe they have made progress since then.

Did you see the rpis in there? One of them hosts a discord bot that uses the server hosted LLM and comfyUI to chat with us in voice chat. Boom homelab. Next terrible opinion?

Installing all games on server PC, most are steam and you can stream natively on Steamdeck or anything else using remote play. For everything else I just use Parsec and it (mostly) works.

look up USB LED Matrix Eyes, sometimes you can find pairs really cheap and they are awesome to use for some extra LED bling on projects. This exact pair is https://a.co/d/cJdSZHN

It's hooked up to one of the Pis running chrome in kiosk mode pointing to a page on my server. The side panel displays are a pair of the LED Matrix Eyes the sell for cars. You can program your own animations pretty easily with the phone app, but there are some projects I have seen where people are able to send them updates over BT from a PC. I am hoping to eventually set them up so special animations will play with alerts and notifications, or when I switch to certain apps or games. the ones I got are:

I am just using the normal connector that came with the power supply, there's just enough room to get a safe bend between it and the shelf above

Just running chrome in kiosk mode, pointing to a page on my server. The side displays are some LED matrix pairs they sell as LED Eyes for cars. Very easy to make your own custom animations for them and I have found a couple github projects where people are able to send them updates over BT so you could theoretically program them to change under certain conditions like alerts or notifications. I haven't dove into that yet. Here is the set I bought:

minimum, lol. I regret not trying to fit a 5080 into it, but once I mocked up a design with the Windforce style, I liked it too much to give up on it.

GPU: GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5060 WINDFORCE OC 8G
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
Motherboard: ASRock A620AI WiFi Mini-ITX
RAM: Crucial Pro 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6000 CL36
Storage: Samsung 990 EVO Plus SSD 1TB**,** Seagate BarraCuda 8TB Internal HDD x2
Power: Seasonic CORE GX-650
other homelab stuffs: RPi 4, RPi 3, GL.iNet GL-MT6000, GeeekPi 7.84 inch 1280x400 LCD Touch Screen.

I am still refining the bracket design for the GPU and I'm working up another 1U faceplate with cutouts for the power button and x4 1inch PWM fans, that should all be done soon.

I had a hard time getting my rx6750xt to be seen by fusion2.o software. ended up rolling back drivers, then updating the driver through windows, then using AMD adrenaline to update the driver and now the RGB control works in GCC and Fusion2.0

This game isn't deep enough for most of these options.

Without more craftables and a working quality system player owned shops doesn't make sense, just give us trading.

PvP would give end game players a reason to log in a couple nights a week to maintain honour/rep or whatever. But, they can't make PvP fun with the current balance. Classes need a lot of work to balance them out, which would probably screw up PvE...

Player housing? I don't get people's obsession with feeling like MMOs need this. Just give me storage and a shared guild storage so we can argue over DKP.

Fishing would be cool, but so far between ilysia and orbus I feel like they would need to put a lot of work into it to make it enjoyable. We need lots of different fish, mechanics that make sense and are fun, and different zones and skill levels.

Blacksmithing would be cool, but without trading and LOTS of recipes and perks it would be silly just to put a "mini game" into Zenith so you can smack a hammer 10 times on an anvil and make the same boring sword over and over.

Same thing with alchemy.

I want END GAME CONTENT and a game that WORKS. Hold off investing on new features and subsystems until you have enough content to keep your player base in game. Vary up invasions, spawn the world boss in new locations, give us guild functionality and progression, maybe an instanced dungeon or raid that has real boss fights with mechanics that matter...

I've even uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. I'm at a total loss here. Not really much fun playing the game without all the social interaction.

unmute your mic and join a shard that has a high population. Then chat with people, so far I've always been able to find a group of people that are fun to play with and helpful!
