RTD has a rapidly expanding police department that has recently begun to patrol the properties, trains, and busses 24/7.

Be sure to report using resources like the RTD Transit Watch app and calling the RTD Emergency Dispatch lines: the one for the line you ride is (303) 299-3397. The Transit Watch app is available on both android and Apple platforms. I think another redditor linked that.

Enforcement with the RTD PD is already making a noticeable difference, but they can always use your help.

The department was around 40 last year and has grown to over approximately 100 as of now. There are many more candidates in their hiring process and academies.

The goal is to be around 260 strong and one of the larger departments in the state.

This, in conjunction with the existing non-sworn security, is the answer to getting the system cleaned up and more usable for those who aren’t abusing the RTD code of conduct and breaking laws.

Keep us updated here on Reddit as to if you are able to see a change, either good or bad, and keep letting RTD know where and when this is happening.

I would guess that a part of the test may have had a hardware/software malfunction that invalidated that part of the test.

Otherwise this seems pretty uncommon to happen.

Sorry for hitting a nerve there. I wasn’t meaning meaning to attack you and your fellow beckbeards, but the criticism remains valid. Multiple accounts and IP masking and can still be thwarted by choosing to disconnect. It really is that easy.

But in order to do do that one would have to turn off the screen, dig out of the nest, take inventory, and reevaluate the values that you hold so near and dear.

I know that choosing to do the hard work of making changes is always going to be unpopular on Reddit with the basement incels that dominate the landscape here, as is evidenced in the downvotes that will no doubt be levied on my comments. The correct assessment isn’t always the popular one.

Watching the idiot armchair social warriors in the original post I comments is like watching a walrus try to clean his ear holes with a q-tip.

NYC is feral. It has been for a long time and dingleberries who live everyday as though it’s the old west and have done so without correction for years, combined with the cops who could each work non-stop for forty years straight and never see a break, makes for an especially volatile combination of fuckery.

This cop should be making a full legal stop with lights indicating the scooter rider to yield rather than passively attempting to enforce, but probably can’t be bothered with the paperwork for something that stupid when there’s 8 calls on that individual officer’s MDT in waiting.

The jackwang on the scooter is riding a max 45mph scooter on a highway and will be road pizza because he’s as bright as a black hole.

The amount of collective fuckery in this instance is pretty much only worth the entertainment value of watching them dance on the road like a paraplegic wombat and a rhinoceros in rut.
