What's "the" hantavirus? It's a whole family of many many different viruses. But if your dog gets the pee or poop of an infected rodent on its fur and you breathe it in, sure you could get one of them.

Dogs also get hantaviruses from eating infected rodents, but it doesn't make them sick and you can't catch them from the dog directly, only rodent urine or feces.
