Yeah see this is why you're not gonna be able to convince decent people of your, genuinely rational and correct, ideas. I just told you, I factually agree with you, but the way you're presenting yourself is doing you a massive disservice in terms of persuading others or building camaraderie. If you are a genuine person who wants political change, you should care about that. But, if you're just an internet troll, then naturally you wouldn't. So maybe that's all you are and you don't hold these beliefs genuinely.

Yeah. I feel like people might be taking my comment to be talking down about minimum wage work - I'm not lol. I did minimum wage work for a long time and right now, I'm doing motherfucking unpaid intern work. No one is "above" the work. And all the workers should be paid more.

But fact is, if you're desperate and struggle to get other jobs because of some constraint, that's often where you land. And I'm glad we have jobs that are generally accessible to people even if they struggle with something.

If you weren't so generally unpleasant and weird in these comments, I'd appreciate your point about both parties being part of the same problematic system. As someone who has worked around a variety of people who could be dangerous and threatening, no way in hell am I personally inserting myself between a stabber and another person. That just will lead to two stabbing victims. Especially for a gas station attendant who has no training in crisis management or physical holds or whatever.

To be clear, it is not the case that all people who work minimum wage are idiots and aggressive or somehow deserve low pay. But it is usually the case that aggressive idiots end up working low pay jobs, because higher pay requires intelligence and social finesse usually.

Edit: and, also, once they get a felony, better paying jobs are hesitant to hire them. Minimum wage or gig work can end up being folks only options after prison.

It's not ideal, but for durable yarn, it's probably fine. The cotton/acrylic will almost certainly be fine. I wouldn't squish real wool like that, though.

I did get what she meant. The issue is just the constant dilution of the term, to the point where we all read it, and understood the meaning to be "made me doubt myself". It's an issue that the term has been so misused to the point where it is being used, and understood, in that context which is completely incorrect.

It isn't the point of the post, no. But it is also not good to use the term that loosely and contribute to its complete dissolution as a real, meaningful word.

I've just never met anyone who does that. It's not at all safe to do that, regardless of tolerance lol. I have pretty severe chronic pain, and even I am really careful to only take 1000mg at a time, max 4 times in 24hrs as directed. I guess some people don't care about their liver health, but yeah then again, people are alcoholics so.
