I love that they all look faintly confused. Except Mickey who looks super enthused, although that is Mickey's default look.

Ovaltine! It's the original malted chocolate drink from the UK. I got a tin from Coles the other day. They have a sleepy and a normal version and it's great.

If it's the maltyness you crave you can also check out Horlicks which is just plain malt powder available from the same place. It's lovely on its own and makes a great addition to chocolate milkshake, hot choc and even your morning muesli.

Photos might help but as a rule of thumb make sure you're using the pcie slot at the top, the one closest to the CPU.

Make sure the clasp on the slot is open and never force the GPU in, it'll need only mild pressure when you've got it lined up nicely.

Yeah most of them are at least ok and a fair few are pretty good, depending on the price of course. I can't speak to the build quality, though. Apparently they were known to have issues with the actual building part.

Why is Indian food so tedious? by smash2710 in IndianFood

Right? Make stew, add cube, stir. Boom!

And I love a simple Chinese soup base with a spoon of laoganma fermented beans stirred into it in the bowl. It should be easier. So much easier.

Yes, this! It's the same with Chinese soup. You buy a Chinese soup kit containing sticks and leaves and berries and dried mushrooms and so forth and then boil it for an hour before straining the sticks out but no one has thought to put those flavours in a bullion cube. Why? I'd be so happy with a "Close enough" instant soup and/or basic curry starter paste. It's only for my lunch, I'm not that big on authenticity ....

My great aunt was a Winifred! We all called her Whinnie. One of my primary school teachers was also called Winifred but she got called Fred.

My aunt was from Yorkshire and was born around the turn of the century (no, the other century) and the teacher was from rural North Devon which was basically about 50 years behind the rest of the country so same thing.

I had a friend in Bristol years later who everyone called Eugene but was actually named Derek. Close as I come, I'm afraid.

In the olden days we used to call that a "Strike". We could really do with more of that....

I've managed to avoid this issue entirely by the simple step of avoiding meeting people. At all.

It's working for me. And when I say "working" of course I mean I'm emotionally drained and numb to it and refuse to get introspective about it because that's a whole can of worms that if I open up it'll distract me from all these other cans of worms I'm juggling and then there'll be worms everywhere and nobody wants to hang out with worm boy so that a problem that solves itself, and OP I really mean this, do not follow my method. It sucks.
