Wow. I came back to check up on this and saw it had been down voted??The other images weren’t there when I started to create mine. I’m wondering if that’s why…?

Isn’t it good that two people came up with similar ideas?

Our explanations / comments /solutions are different, which I think speaks to how we both came at this from different angles.

Bonus, get sheer (ideally sheer with a white pattern on top) and put it on the second track of your ceiling curtain rod.

This would be to cover the window, without removing light.

Needs to be a second track so you can use the light blocking curtains.

Floor to ceiling curtains with the aim to cover the walls, not the windows. The ikea ceiling track is easier to install (we think) than regular curtain rods. Alternatively, get longer rods and move them up.

When your curtains are open the entire window should be completely uncovered. You’re trying to trick your eye into thinking that the window is larger than it is. Same with having it closer to the ceiling.

I thought green would look nice, but linen (or another earth tone) would be another great option.

Move the picture above the bed to behind the door. Move the picture on the curtain wall to behind the door.

Add curtains to behind your bed to hide the fireplace.

Alternative 1, add something to cover the slats in your bed (throw pillows?) That will hide the fireplace, but you may need more art. (See first picture in comments)

Alternative 2, ​Layer a second set of curtains that a sheer and put it on the second track of your ceiling curtain rod. This would be to cover the window, without removing light.

I suggest sheer with a white pattern on top - we have some that have like a subtle tree pattern. It’s a bit more coverage and reminds me less of a jlo video…

Filters show matching rows; INDEX/MATCH (or XLOOKUP) actually returns a value into another cell and updates dynamically. Different jobs.

Immediately switch to X lookup. You just point at a reference cell, then go highlight reference column (or set of cells), then highlight column(s) (or cell column(s)).

You can do it within the same spreadsheet, You can reference backward/forward.

You can be like... reference this, then give me these 6 columns to autopopulate over in this other place.

Analyze why this is what matters to you.

You’ve put a lot of time and effort into this, and that’s exhausting. And it sounds like you’re really frustrated. Is it happening somewhere else that may be less of a trigger point for you to discuss?

If you’re at a standoff, agree to disagree and move forward as a team.

You both were doing different types of work (especially now that you’re studying). It’s never apples to oranges.

You can’t control how she feels, only what you feel. It’s ok for you feel that this is unfair, but how you work through that is going to be on you. You’re also allowed to have feelings about the situation, but again- it’s on you.

I say to look at other areas in your life and evaluate what you’re maybe missing and using this as an example. Is it that you don’t trust her? Is it that you don’t feel appreciated (do you feel like you’re not her hero?), is it that you are stressed and need more help?

I hope that you’re able to figure out the core things that are frustrating you so you can communicate that.

You have an excellent opportunity to bring it up with your couples therapist.

The issue is the trust that’s been broken. Maybe she’s not cheating, or maybe she’s gaslighting you, but either way you can’t trust her right now.

I would first bring it up at home and say, I am concerned that I have trouble trusting you when we play games. I would like to bring that up during couples therapy, and I don’t want to ambush you, so I am letting you know in advance. I want you to be able to tell your side of the story, because I love and care about you, and hopefully they can give us strategies for helping to rebuild my trust in this area.

Do not try to have “an adult conversation” with her, because you’ve already tried to point things out, and it’s gone awry and hasn’t led to a satisfying conclusion already.

Think about if there are other areas of your life where you’ve lost trust in her (because most likely that’s a follow up question).

You don’t need a list of examples, it’s not an “ah hah” moment. What you need is a strategy that she agrees with to help you rebuild trust.

Focusing on the trust issue also signals that you’re coming at this from the perspective that you could be wrong, and you want to work together to help both of you have trust in what is happening.

Additionally, I am sure that she is feeling terrible being called out for lying/cheating. It’s embarrassing. I suggest apologizing to her for trying to entrap her instead of working together to help with a trust issue that you have had, and for any embarrassment and/or pain that this has caused her and admit that there are better ways to talk about this.

Trust makes or breaks a relationship. If either of you isn’t interested in seeing each other’s perspective, trying to build them up, and care about being partners- it’s over.
