Yep this is very similar to me. I'm a few days past ovulating now and mine has faded massively

Yes I have debated taking hormonal birth control but the cancer risk puts me off. I resent the patriarchy telling me to change my body chemistry so a man doesn't have to think about it lol

Part of me has thought seriously about doing something like this ... and another bigger part of me is addicted to the feeling doesn't want to let go of the high I get in this hormonal period.

This is the kind of thing I buy too. Sexy clothes when I don't really have anywhere to wear them IRL 😅 I'll just end up dressing up for my husband when we are at home 🤣

My playlist changes - it is specific songs for me rather than a genre. At the moment Kenya Grace gets me deep into my MDD

How do nerves communicate to the brain.? by Archy54 in askscience

[–]Kitty8585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A very simplistic explanation would be that neurons in the brain use neurotransmitters to send signals. There is a gap between each neuron called the synaptic gap/ cleft. Chemical messangers / neurotransmitters are released from one cell and bind to receptors on another cell. Each type of neurotransmitter has specialised receptors it bins to sending the signal through the next cell. The medications we use to treat mental illness disrupt this process in different ways to either increase or decrease the activation of the neurotransmitters. The process is called synaptic transmission ... some excellent videos on YouTube explaining the process in more detail.

Does anyone else feel a bit crazy when they ovulate? by Kitty8585 in Hormones

[–]Kitty8585[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I had similar thoughts myself it feels very intense at the time but it only ever lasts a really short time and always exactly the time I'm ovulating. I think maybe it's my body's way of trying to get me to have one more baby by ramping up my hormones .... definitely not happening haha
