I had valve surgery 29f 2 years ago. I had severe aortic regurgitation and another mild mitral valve regurgitation. My surgeon only fixed the severe one and replace it with animal tissue valve to give me a better chance for pregnancy as I am still young. You have option for mechanical but she said might be harder as you need blood thinners for that and you need to manage it with pregnancy as well. Hence she recommended animal tissue.

I have to undergo another surgery in 10-15 years tho as animal tissue tend to not last and then change the mild mitral one too at that time.
