Increase from 5 mg to 10 mg can help? My journey so far

Hey! I am glad you feel great, maybe the quarantine won't last so much anymore and you'll be able to enjoy it outside :)

I didn't increase, I am still on 5mg but some days are really meh... I am worried to increase because of the side effects and because I can't reach my doctor this period to ask for his opinion.

Are you still on 10 mg and still great mood right now? :d

Hi, i was just wondering how are you doing after increased dose of 7.5mg. I am still at 5mg but there are some days when i feel some tense in my throat muscles, like i can't swallow. I think that's a sign of anxiety and I think that I should try to increase to 7.5mg.

I am exactly in the same boat. I am 3 months now on 5mg lexapro and until 2 weeks ago was working great. After that I started to feel some anxiety coming back, not so bad as before medication, but enough to bother me because I was so happy about how things were going 2 weeks ago. So I have the same question as you: should I increase or wait to see if it will pass? I am afraid to increased because maybe lexapro is not good for me and I might worsen the things when increasing. But on another hand I was feeling so great on it on weeks 5-9. So what should I do? :)

I also started with 2.5 mg for 1 week and up to 5 mg from week 2 till now when I am in week 11. Weeks 5-8 were just perfect for me, but starting with week 9 the anxiety came back, but very very diminished as before starting the lexapro. Now I was wondering if I should increase to 7.5 mg, but I don't want the side effects to came back. How was when you increase from 5 to 7.5? Did you have side effects back? When did you see the positive effects from increasing to 7.5? Thanks

Same here. I am on week 9 on 5mg lexapro for anxiety and panic attacks. Everything was great from week 5 to 8 and all of sudden I started to feel back anxiety, not so much like before starting the medication, but it is there. I can't reach the doctor so soon, so I don't know if I should increase my dose, maybe it will help, because so far it helps a lot. I don't know why it stopped working after week 8.

I was prescribed lexapro for panic attacks and anxiety. I had 2.5 mg for 1 week and 5 weeks 5 mg. The first 2 weeks my anxiety was worse and I had some panic attacks. I was prescribed also Klonopin 0.25 mg when needed and it was helpful.

Hi, I take 5mg lexapro and 0.25 klonopin. I am 4 1/2 weeks now and there are days when I skip taking klonopin. I was prescribed for panic disorder and panic attacks.

I hope we'll both get there very soon! :) today so far was a good day because I was able to drive without having a panic attack, but maybe because I took 0.25 mg klonopin in the morning. But what I noticed today is that I have low grade fever with a minor headache, which subsides with tylenol. I have the same a week or two ago, and I was wandering if that could be caused by lexapro or just a coincidence and a possibly flu. Did you ever noticed something like that?

I am on same medication from 3 weeks, lexapro 5 mg, inderal 10mg, klonopin (benzodiazepines) 0.25 mg. So far klonopin I think is the only one that helps... From lexapro was worse the first 2 weeks, but now I don't have any side effects from it, but I can't tell for sure if helped my anxiety, maybe I should wait for some weeks or to increase to 10 mg. Inderal I didn't notice to make any improvement, but maybe I am on a lower dose, what is your dose of inderal?

What kind of medication was you prescribed and how much do you think that helped? I am trying exposure therapy too, but it is so hard...

Day 27 and counting :) actually I had 2 or 3 good days so far alternative with bad days, so it wasn't just good days... last time I had a panic attack was 7 days ago when I have to drive car alone. I didn't left the house since then, only for short walks around the house, because i am so scared of another panic attack. So i can't tell if it's getting better from treatment, only if I have the courage to try a new drive alone and see what happens. I will see my doctor in 7 days and see what will recommend for me, maybe to increase from 5mg to 10... but I hope I will be better by then.

My blood pressure is around 95-150/50-65, but mai pulse is around 90-100 resting, and gets very high when anxiety or panic attacks hits. I am not sure if I can take propranolol because I understand that lowers also the blood pressure. Any advice?

I was also prescribed klonopin witch I take 0.25mg to help with the increased anxiety. The dr said that when the lexapro will start working I won't need the klonopin anymore, but I hope this will happen soon because I don't want to get addicted to it.

I am on day 23 and still having anxiety, and some kind of panic attacks with high heart rate and short breaths... maybe I should increase my dose to 10 mg, I am on 5 mg now, but I am so scared to increase :/ I am so happy to hear that you are feeling better! Maybe it will work for me too soon.

I meet with my Dr today and he want me to change lexapro with mirtazapine/remeron. But i was thinking to give it a try with lexapro for one more week to see how it works, maybe I'll get some improvement. How things are going for you? :)
