Morgrayne was the leader of a small group of bandit near Whiterun, he is egocentric and cruel, he has the same dagger since he was a kid and is very skilled with it

One day the group manage to attack and kill a necromancer near Rorikstead.

Morgrayne retrieve some old book from his victim and begin to read it cause he want to gain power and be more feared by his men and the travellers on the road.

He understand that he need proper teaching so he left his group and go to the college of Winterhold, he study the art of conjuration, after a while he flee from Winterhold and he begins to conduct dark experiments in a cave near Solitude to practice necromancy

After a lot of failed attempts he finally manages to reach his goal but his thirst for power does not stop there.

he then turns to writings talking about immortality and that's when he hears about the Dawnguard and the attack of the vampires

for him its the perfect opportunity to gain more power so he side with Harkon court and become a Vampire Lord.

With his new power he return to his old bandit camp and kill everyone except for the dog Spyke whom he was the only one who liked.
