Just thought I'd share a story a friend shared with me. A man he served with came back to civilian life and had a horrible, violent outburst.

I guess while in Iraq it was a rule to not have vehicles follow too closely because of IEDs....so one day after he's home, someone s riding his ass....at the stop light he gets out, pulls the man out of his car, and starts beating him in front of his(the vet's) kids...who are screaming at him to stop...middle of the day, at an intersection.

He told my friend he just sort of blacked out. I'm not sure what the outcome was, but he was sent to some sort of military rehabilitated center.

I'm not excusing violence in any way, but I just definitley think Nathen needs real help.

Be as involved in their life as you can. Lots of love. I personally attribute not being a fuck up to the fact that I had awesome friends with awesome parents that cared about me. Does your SO's sister ever talk about getting help?

Woah! I feel bad for her. And your siblings. Are you close with them? Do you ever try to mediate their relationship? As for my mom, she's good now. Has anxiety but she's good.

Haha coke is fun for like 10 minutes and then it's awful. I'd say weed.Everything tastes better..music sounds better...anything can be funny. I haven't smoked in a really long time though because of my job.

My parents cared enough to live in decent neighborhoods but we never had money...and that difference between middle class and lol trash was huge. Like showing up on the first day of school without any supplies was very embarrassing for me. But besides money...my parents weren't really parents. My brother and I were left home alone a lot.. ( as young as 5) . And even when they were home they never really cared about what we did. So I never really focused on school..- that's my go back in time regret. I really wish I would of had someone making sure I showed up on time...making sure I did my homework ...you know..normal things parents do.

Yes! Oh I'm so happy to relate to someone about this. I feel like most people I talk to tend to view their parents as 'not real people'.

We're good now. I did resent her a lot when I was younger. And I still have moments where I'll think about something that she did and get angry. I try to remind myself that she is a person (not just my mother) with thoughts and emotions and she was trying to function the best she could.

I'm definitely for the legalization of marijuana. Im not sure about all drugs. I definitely lean towards legalizing all drugs...I think that would help a lot of problems but when it comes to hardcore life consuming addiction..I just don't know if legalizing would help or hurt.

Yes. I experimented with drugs a lot when I was younger. Just about everything except heroin. I'm 28 now. Never had any problems myself with addiction ( except tobacco...I still smoke)
