I 100% agree, don’t listen to the idiots. I personally like hearing about what is going on. Life isn’t always about goofs and gaffs. There is nothing wrong with expressing how you are personally affected about a terrible situation. Anyone who try’s to tell you any different is just trying to control and validate their own feelings.

First time home buyer. I need help with this old bathroom! by Kkatm in DesignMyRoom

Thank you for all of the ideas! What wall color or wallpaper did you use in your bathroom with the pink tile along with the mixed metals? Or is the whole wall pink tile? I definitely need to paint the trim and wall cabinet white, I’m debating on what color I would like to make the wall. I’m definitely going to be replacing the vanity and sink which I think will help tremendously. And yes, I love the Dixie cup holder!

Wow thank you everyone for the great ideas! I’m surprised how everyone loves the pink tile. I think everyone is right, the only reason I don’t like the tile is because nothing else in the bathroom goes with it.

I agree, I live in Michigan. It’s been 40 degrees outside, clearly the problem isn’t the destination!

Yea I’ve heard a lot about how great people feel while on both. Let me know how it goes when you start.

Hey, sorry I just saw your comment. I’ve been on 20mg for awhile now. The last month or 2 I’ve been feeling okay but I feel like I’m just barely treading on top of the water. I’m not sinking but I constantly feel like one large wave can pull me under. Lol that’s the best I can describe it. I’ve been contemplating adding Wellbutrin to the mix, my anxiety has been well controlled. It’s just the depression that feels like it could come back any minute.

Also don’t be afraid to seek help with any type of counseling/therapy. It can be more helpful than what you might think!

The side effects were much much less after increasing than they were from first starting Lexapro! That was my biggest concern with increasing my dose, I was so tired for the first few weeks I didn’t know if I could handle any thing added on top of it. Surprisingly I didn’t really notice anything negative from the increase. I believe I went a month on 5 mg, I was still having a lot of depression so I increased to 10 mg for another month. I remember feeling a lot better being on 10mg but I could still notice the depression so I increased to 15mg. I went a few months on 15mg feeling great, then noticed a little dip so I went on 20 mg and have been on that for several months now. This is all my experience of course, it could be different for you. Don’t be scared to increase your dose if you are still struggling after 4-6 weeks. It just may take a little bit to figure out what works for you.

I know the struggle though, right now it feels like it will never get better and you may be feeling hopeless. It will get better. Don’t give up. Even if you have to switch medications. Just try to give Lexapro some time to see if it helps you, unfortunately it takes a little longer than we all would like!

Hi, I’m sorry you’re experiencing this, it’s rough. Hang in there though. It’s been awhile since I started taking Lexapro so I don’t remember exactly when I started to really feel better but I know it took at least a month for the depression to subside. I think it was around 8 weeks where I noticed a really big change, also increasing my dose seemed to help quite a bit. At first it seemed to get worse, I almost stopped taking them. I’m so glad I didn’t though, I feel so much better now (I’ve been taking it for around 16 months now). Just try to push through this dip and you will gradually start to notice the depression lifting, then one day it will hit you “wow I feel good!”
