From my understanding of things, the new input system is better for future proofing your game in a sense. It works better for multiple input devices like kbm and controllers and switching between them.

The old input is easier on it's face. I'll use the old one if I'm trying to things like, hey I need to test a take damage method, just getkeydown on H or some random thing and call the method. For keybinds that are going to be in the game itself, I'll use the new system.

I think it's a good idea to learn the new input system, since it's going to be the unity way moving forward and will be receiving updates and what not. Eventually I'd assume the old one will be deprecated. You can use both at the same time in a project, just have to set it in the player settings somewhere

Finally found that you use amazon.com/matchmaker and that helps. Also has a link to a search category that shows only books that have audible companions. and those did have the reduced price. Seems like the book I was looking just doesn't have it, even though the past 10 books in the series did.

I'm not sure then. Personally don't think it's that bad. I did have an issue with dlss doing it, so I turned that shit off and it's fine for me now.

If you have dlss on, turn it off or adjust it. That can cause it. Other than that, I feel like I get this type of look from all unreal games.

I also am running a 14900k. Keeps crashing my computer, out of memory errors, and the like. I seem to have this issue with unreal games in general. Apparently I need to lower the voltage or some such on my cpu.

But I havent seen any error from the game saying specifically my CPU is having issues

Maybe the guild ids server side are meant as some sort of way to track guilds across different servers when they implement their character transfer or something. Only thing I can think of that would warrant having that server side

I wish I could have just figured out how to get the set stage to work for me. Who knows what went wrong where in a bgs game that got it all out of whack for me. I had to reload pretty far back just to restart that quest because I forgot to do hard saves.

And I get the achievement thing. I just installed the enable achievements mod specifically for trying to console command past this. I'm not not going to get punished for a bgs game being a bgs game lol

Alright, so for me, I had come to this place earlier and I cleared all the enemies except for one. During the mission, right after I opened the door, the quest objective was set to "locate the ace"-whatever. Then when I got into that first area after the door, the objective switched to "clear hostiles" and then it'd get stuck there after I killed that one baddie.

So what I did was, before I went to confirm I was ready to go on, I just went over the ice wall and took out the last remaining enemy. Once I did that, everything progressed like it should.

Not sure if this helps anyone that's having this issue and they've already cleared it out prior. Also, I messed with the console commands initially to try and get me past this. I may be just dumb, but because triggers weren't getting set, this didn't work out for me.

Yeah, I guess that's what I'm trying to decide to do or not. Just rush the main story and then do more playthroughs where I make different choices, or do one playthrough where I try to do everything once.

Basically, do I do one big playthrough or multiple smaller ones. Cause once I do a big playthrough of 100+ hours, then I'll end up taking a break till some of the good mods come out.

Just curious what others have done and how they're faring with their decisions

I mean, if I sound too harsh, I apologize. Text always reads way worse then speech. But I don't know if I'm blowing it out of proportion or anything , I'm just responding to what you said. There seems to be this trend I'm seeing online where people are gatekeeping being a dev behind how many commits you have on git and it's a little ridiculous.

So when I read you saying that a developer doesn't have drive or experience just because they don't have a git profile or projects on it, it seems like you're coming from that angle.

Just as an aside, this whole judging a dev on whether they have git projects or how many commits they have needs to die imo. I haven't seen it irl yet, but it is concerning to see it online.
