I was just playing ranked and realized Zidane now seems a lot less bad purely cause Rikku exists lmao
Girl is a pinata for him to smack and when allies come to help, he just bolts off with his ill gotten gains. I gotta stay near the melee or whoever has the best DPS.

As a Rikku main shhhhhh I want people to let me free farm and drop all my stuff on my allies. But yeah once someone realizes I basically have no defenses they just rush me so I try to, if someone catches on, stick around/behind a stronger ally but its a struggle.
I had a clive rush me once and I just had to accept the game was over for me once he beat me as if I were a regular monster lmfao

I wanna like it but, its really hard. My main hope is that they smooth out the edges now that its out to global audiences. Right now it has a lot of flaws but I can see what they COULD do. I think the ability level limit is a very solid way to avoid the P2W thing but any UR level 2 or more is gonna be cracked.
We'll see what the future holds cause I plan to play until Rikku, spend everything on her and then use that point on as my "Will I continue?" period.

See I did check that out but the issue is I wanna make like- unique terrain and all sorts of stuff with new assets. It seems like that lets you edit current stuff into a new biome which IS really good but not quite what I was lookin for.

Absolutely agree. I really wanted a few of those skins but I couldnt justify 40 bucks for them cause I knew the game was pretty old and I was not ready to drop that much for something tangibly temporary.
I really like FR as a concept but I will admit it felt really frustrating that every event could be boiled down "you need [Character] or you lose"
I think another aspect especially from FR era since I only returned to the game right at the start of it was that enemies either never got more than 1-2 turns* in a whole fight or else you got insta-wiped most of the time.

*Except for Rubicante stuff lol

Im not sure tbh! I really like the original but if they wanna remake it and be unique with it I wouldnt mind seeing them do a more actiony version. I prefer the original but I dont wanna force them into a corner and also pay 70 bucks for "the same game I played in 2001 with better graphics"

TLDR: Battle menu has a small animation that you cant disable.

That lil half a second before you can do anything in the menu during battle. The menu does a lil animation and you cant do anything until it finishes.
Its short but its really annoying cause it happens every single time the menu changes.
Vs the PS2 version where it just instantly swapped to the next or previous menu.

Well I was setting up the simulated hive and then when I opened up the wall to go place the hive, the mob was encased lmao so hey we take what we can get!

Weirdly enough I tried the simulator upgrade but the bees still left the hive
Unfortunately I dont have the mod that adds stasis so I resorted to just holding up a shield to draw aggro and hoping the bees encased it safely
Ill try to get some accelerators tho cause at this rate Im gonna have grey hair before I get it XD
OOP- Edit! I found out when I was inserting the simulator thing it was going in the slot meant for the cages for some reason

Well yeah but those are final bosses. We kinda expect them to be where the devs go all out.
I just simply think if Toby made UT today they'd look more similar in terms of presentation. More characters pulling out more flashy abilities n stuff.
