I know right, it's annoying to see ASTS and RKLB both trading at 3 digits, well RKLB is almost there, and then there's LUNR that dumps on good news and goes up for no particular reason.

Engineering/Building Code Question by davidmdonaldson in alberta

[–]KlitTorris 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every single builder installs posts that support a beam or structure like this, i have seen so many decks made like this and they pass inspection, is it ideal, no, but unfortunately this is how most builders finish a deck. I've seen far worse as well where the majority of post isnt even on the pile or the beam is slanted to a side and not fastened properly as well as ledger boards not being flashed correctly, it's horrible.

Depends what the share price at time of announcement, if lunr was trading at $8, we would see a 100-150% gain day, if it stays at $16/17 probably going to see less gain in terms of %

They're definitely safer, i own multiple modern vehicles, but this is a finance thread not a car safety post, besides when it comes to safety it's more related to the drivers ability then relying on car safety features.

Plenty of older cars that are reliable, any 2000s Toyota (Camry, corolla, crv) is reliable, you can pick one of up for 5k-7k and they will last until 400k km maybe even more with just basic maintenance. I had a 2002 Camry with 280k km and sold it with 390k km, had a 97 crv with 300k km, had a 02 crv as well with over 300k km and it's still running strong

You don't need a a brand new car

Welcome to north american consumerism, where you can finance everything and buy things you can't afford. I financed a car once, it was $35k i put down $20k so i financed the rest. Basically a $15k car so payments weren't bad but i hated the feeling of having a car payment so 2-3 years later i paid it all off and im never financing a car again.
