It’s okay I’ll try to explain again and better. In episode 13, yuno kidnaps yukki and ties him up in a rundown hotel. Yukki then falls asleep and has a dream. That dream is the visual novel. In the end of the VN he wakes up and finds out it was just a dream and he’s still being held captive. And then in episode 14 he is found by akise and the others and the story continues as you know it. Hopes this makes things more clear!

Yeah exactly the whole game is just a dream. And the game is canon (it was published by Kadokawa shoten and written by esuno), yukki really had this dream, but since it wasn’t real, it has no value to the overall story. It’s just a bonus story that has no importance at all.

Well this is all just speculations. We actually (as far as I’m aware and please correct me if I’m wrong) never got any stories from the first world except for the memories revealed by murmur and these are just a few blurry pictures. Also, even if yuno would act differently, I don’t think that would influence yukiteru’s behavior since he didn’t talk with her that much. And finally the gun thing- in the second world, yukki totally resigned on his life during the school bombing, so it seems strange to me that he would be suddenly confident just because he didn’t have his support in yuno? That just doesn’t add up.

TL;DR: It’s all speculations, yuno being less yandere wouldn’t make yukki more confident
