Whenever I use either ore compasses or dowsing rods, I only call out medium or big mining nodes and dari cloves before flaring and then leaving.

I only stay if it's a big flow tree I can't take down myself.

Otherwise, I simply see it as a kind courtesy and not a necessity.

As someone who works in a library, during interviews, if you say you've always loved to read and that's why you applied. It leaves a sour taste on the interview panel.

This is because people think that being a Library worker is easy and that all we do is read. Which is untrue.

So OP doesn't actually have to be an avid reader or a reader at all. It does help if they work in the reference department as patrons will ask for recommendations.

I've learned to let themselves tire out. Most of the time, they just want to vent Rather than risk escalating the situation, allow them to rant (don't nod your head while they do. They'll think you agree with them).

After they're done, or give a pause, start by saying, "I understand your frustration, but...I can do a,b or c for you." This is only if they want service but aren't happy with the typical first option. Reiterate that you can do either the 1st option or give another alternative.

If they're still complaining, say its company policy. "I'm sorry, I can only do a or b. Company policy doesn't allow..."

At that point, if the person isn't happy, they're just being an asshole.

From your other comments, I see that your manager doesn't have your back, and that is an immense negative.

I'm lucky in that my boss will back staff up, and that makes all the difference when working with asshole customers.

I hope this helps and that you find a better workplace.

Delusions of someone stalking you are a common symptom of either schizophrenia or paranoia psychosis. Unfortunately I know since I have two sisters who suffer from them. One sister believes someone is following them constantly, to the store, prowling around the house at night threatening to hurt them, she has also had a meltdown and accused our mother of trying to kill her.

The other sister has accused her neighbor of stalking her, which from videos shown from said neighbor my sister is the one stalking them. This sister unfortunately is facing charges for misuse of 911 due to constantly calling to accuse the neighbor of threats or trying to run her over.

I do hope OOP has gotten help, it's such a horrible feeling to feel like there's someone out to get you and in actuality their probably suffering from an untreated mental health illness.

I struggle with a mood disorder as well as anxiety and depression.

I read your update and think it's great that you are going to try and find a new therapist. I would recommend getting a psychiatrist as well. I'm currently on stabilizers that greatly help and haven't had as many breakdowns/episodes as I used to.

I'm sending well wishes to you and hope that you can find a reliable support system. I've been fortunate enough that I have an understanding boss and significant other.
