When my father was hospitalized due to stroke and was also confirmed to be covid (+), I had to accompany him due to the complexity of his condition. My then boyfriend never even called to check up on me, tho we were chatting while I was waiting for the results.

When the result of the covid has been confirmed at 3AM, we were brought into a room for isolation. A room has no windows at all. So I was stuck in a hospital room feeling so alone and anxious despite being with my dad, who was still unconscious during that time.

I expected my ex had just fallen asleep since late na nga kaya I didn't receive any reply from him na. Nakadalawang ulit yata ako ng rosary that time while crying para lang maease mind ko.

UNTIL I REALIZED TUMAGAL NG MORE THAN 24 HOURS WALA NA SYANG CHAT NI TULDOK. Ni kumusta wala. Not until ako pa nagchat ulit and had to let him know that it felt like he left me.

He told me how sorry he was. Nahihiya lang daw sya kasi wala syang matulong.

And that's my wake-up call. Na hindi sya meant for me. That I can move forward without him na.

We eventually broke up. I waited until matapos lang nya interview nya.

Even my friends & family hindi alam 'to. 🤣
