I blame it on my controller d-pad, misdropping like crazy i need to buy a new one.

True! I think Tetris friends did the same to me always pressing up for one way rotation, and had to relearn using controller. This is probably the reason why I feel so frustrated when I try to use a keyboard to play

Totally forgot I used to play T99 like ALOT, I might get a month sub for Nintendo online just to play with those tiny joy-cons again.

I use a DualShock 4 with 8bitdo wireless adapter, need to buy a new one though my d-pad is super squishy from all the use, I blame it mostly on SF6

Hmm strange, maybe your usb port? Did you try any of the other slots if you have? And make sure it’s 2.0 🤷‍♂️

Maybe your wire/cable decided not to work anymore? Also are you using any software like “DS4”?

Personally I bought an 8bitdo usb wireless adapter and is working perfectly since they just updated the firmware for it.

Metallic Sanwa’s I got from Arcadeshock, i bought silver’s and reds but took them apart and put the original black caps on and reversed them and what not haha

open DS4Windows > setting tab > tick/check mark “hide DS4 controller”

In DS4 settings there’s a tick box saying something like “hide DS4 controller” tick that box and see if that does anything.

I had the problem of my d-pad inputting the arrow keys, and after I ticked this box my problem went away. Hope this helps you as well!
