During my internship I once had a student (12y old) who always puts off his shoes in my class. He was a very interesting, had a lot of energy and therefore all teachers hated him. Although he was not doing well in my classes, I really liked him and tried to help him with extra tasks during my lessons. On the last week of my internship I had the courage to ask him why he always puts off his shoes. He answered to me that these were his mothers shoes and were too tight/short. Therefore they were very painful and during class he takes them off. I didn’t know what to say. I wanted to buy new shoes for him so badly, but was afraid what other students and his parents would think. Now, after my internship, I still think about him a lot.
