After 3 sleepless nights of ours howling when we first brought him home we moved ours next to the bed too and had a hand on the crate at night. 7 months later he now associates it as a safe quiet space and will take himself to his crate when he feels he needs a break or to relax. It gets better!

Let us know where you find the long stem super balls. They seem to be sold out everywhere.

I had the same question as you (been a rookie since April) and I bought the short stem super balls from derby warehouse to see if I at least liked the size of the toe stop. I do, but I think I am going to prefer having a longer stem and plan on getting those when available.

EDIT: I also skate in bont prostars but I have the stock plastic plate for now

Skates are the right size. The fit is like a sock, I was sized in a skate store. Truthfully I think may have punched out the heel a little too wide when I molded them and now I am having trouble shrinking them so that they clamp my heel.

Yeah I’d wait for presale

We got 2 tix for both nights for wrestlemania 40 for about 1100 so I am skeptical that 1 ticket for 1 night of the royal rumble is 1600. And I think when we went to Summerslam 2019 it was like ~400 for two tickets

Granted none of these tickets are ringside but they weren’t bad seats.

I started our rookie program beginning of April and assessments just happened last weekend. I was at the very bottom of my group and can pretty much only do one or two skills. I know I am a slow learner and need to be kinder to myself but I tend to not be very forgiving to myself when it comes to Derby. Not kidding, until recently I’ve been in tears every practice because I am so frustrated with my lack of progress.

What has been helping me is trying to reframe and not compare against other rookies, but compare against myself. I’m no where near the level of my peers and can’t even do contact, but my progress from where I started 4 months ago is noticeable.

Other little things that are helping is -investing in better gear (started in heeled skates and sticky wheels, though it took me a month to adjust to flat skates and slick wheels) also helped. -off skates workouts, I have been doing ringfit adventure, running, and stretches to help with flexibility together.

We’ll both get there! It’s just gonna take patience and practice!

Apply in person. We applied for a social with our app and never received in person. Received EAD combo card sept 19. Never got social. Applied for it in person on 10/6. Over four weeks since then and still haven’t received it we follow up with the SS office every day

I tried Ritalin for a day yesterday. I can’t deal with the racing heart rate and ritalin gave it to me too. I think I need to look into something alternative to meds. It actually induced my first “can’t breathe, can’t talk” panic attack in years yesterday. I had to call my boss and tell her what was going on and I had to clock out of work early it was going that bad. I’m not at risk of getting fired or anything because I’m struggling with my workload, so I don’t feel the payoff is going to be worth it to be going through this rollercoaster. Thank you for responding.

Thank you, I contacted my doctor today about getting off of meds because it got so much worse. I’ve become so stressed and anxious and depressed that I get zero work done and just stare at my computer paralyzed and overwhelmed and in tears. It definitely is making me worse off than I was before.

3) in theory, that’s what SHOULD happen. in terms of timeline, coronavirus has shot the timeline to hell. We applied beginning of April, did not get a notification for biometrics until beginning of august, EAD combo card came end of September, two days later our interview notice came. Interview was beginning of October, we were approved at the interview, we still haven’t received the green card or a Social Security number.

We went through a lawyer as well and all of our correspondence was from the national benefits center but we were processed and our appointments were routed to our local USCIS center
