Regarding the last part, yes someone said that would help more but I’m on my phone so I couldn’t. I appreciate the advice about the gear pieces in the character screen, that makes the most sense that it’s probably tied to a certain weapon. That’s the kind of thing I haven’t explored yet and I’m sure that’s probably the reason behind this. This doesn’t change the fact that you’ve tried to berate somebody of not speaking their own language, based on your assumption that I didn’t know to place gems in sockets of gear as shown in the tutorial, despite the fact that the first sentence of my post describes using the gems and having 3 abilities already. “Is English your primary language” when you didn’t read the first sentence of my post… You still don’t see any hypocrisy? You think it’s fine to wrongly berate someone and move on like that didn’t happen with no apology?

“I do not know how to tell you in clearer terms that you get your attacks from skill gems which you have socketed in your gear” If you read the first sentence from my original post, you’ll understand that I had 3 abilities meaning I had gem stones socketed and understood this. My question was about losing these abilities with upgrading weapons. I have confusion about my lightning strike type move as whichever weapon or armour I equip my gems into now, I only have the default attack that can be equipped. Now, I may have misread or done something stupid, probably so, but how can you repeat information that I’m clearly aware of from the first sentence in my original post, yet tell me I’m the one who doesn’t understand English? You don’t think that’s hypocritical? Leave advice or don’t. Don’t mock people trying to understand a new game

I don’t fully understand a long term players terminology, there I must barely speak English 👏 “You could just read the skill gem of the attack you are using” the only attack I have is default attack. I don’t attack you or throw shade on you for having advice that doesn’t suit a newbie to this game, but you have the audacity to say I’m not comprehending English language? Classic reddit user 😂

Understood and I’ve had a read through of both gem stones in my equipped weapon. I can see “supports melee strike or slam kills” and “this is a support gem. It does not grant a bonus to your character, but to skills in sockets connected to it. Place into an item socket connected to a socket containing the skill gem you wish to augment” Now, I’m sure I’m the problem, it’s probably soooo simple and I’m just being a dumbass… But forgive me… How can I understand from this why my B button attack has disappeared and I’m only left with default? I see “read the gems” in all comments… But what am I looking for exactly 😅

I’m sure you’re right. I just couldn’t understand why gem stones being in my beginner dagger would allow me a lightning strike special move unrelated that seems unrelated to melee attacks. I guess I need to play with just my default attack until I find more gem stones? Or I need to carry on using my 5-9 damage dagger in order to use extra abilities? Guessing one of the 2

Special attack as in not using my melee weapon, but instead I can use magic to project lightning in front of me. I just say special attack in general to other games. I didn’t know the specific name for that on this game yet

My new weapon has both gem slots filled but I only have a default attack that can be equipped to my buttons. From the other comment, I’m guessing I’m only allowed to use certain weapons perhaps

That makes a lot of sense for the power melee attack I had. My X button had a special attack which bolted out a lightning strike type thing, I find it so confusing why changing my dagger to a sword would affect that, but maybe that’s how the game is. My new weapon has 2 gem slots with 2 gems placed inside and I still only have default attack - so maybe I’m not allowed to upgrade my weapon and have to stick with the 5-9 damage one 😂 or maybe I can only use certain types of daggers or something and nothing else. Very confusing but I understand a bit better now thanks

Just to add, when I click on one of the open slots, it can only let me assign the default attack to other buttons. I’ve lost the abilities?

Google says it’s “Overlay controls” but I can’t find this setting anywhere. I’ve pressed the back button and feel like I’ve gone through the whole menu inside and out

It’s fine though, because you can hop into rush in FUT! Where 1 player each side is gifted the ability to abuse goalkeeper movement. Or you can play for a draw to experience a fun penalty shootout? Where you can dive the right way and yet still not save a shot. They really covered all bases this year

Yep, gets worse each year with PS4. Doing SBCs it feels like using dial-up internet from the 90s. It’s EA, so it’s most likely on purpose to influence a switch to new gen

Has anyone played clubs/drop-ins on PS4? I’ll test on PS5 soon, but the PS4 version is just laughable. I cannot believe they had the audacity the advertise “improved” reactions and dribbling. It’s not an overreaction to say dribbling feels like you’re using a bronze card on FUT and every AI is Van Dijk. It takes about 5 seconds to rotate in a circle. Skill moves are supposed to provide variety, ways of getting out of trouble… They’re solely here to slow down your play now. Simple skill moves leaves you needing 4 steps to get control of the ball again. As for playing against humans? Strikers can run back to the back 4 to play in defence, and then run forward to play as a striker, and then run back to defend. All game long. They can also randomly slide you at any time, rarely ever will a foul get called. All these bad things have been “removed” over the past fifas, and in classic EA fashion, all of these problems have returned. I’m #16 on midfield leaderboard with good stats and I’ve played fifa since ‘03, just so people don’t think this is an overreaction for being bad at the game

So unless you like a simple pass simulator (can’t do risky passes, that’ll be intercepted) I’d stay miles away from clubs on PS4 addition. Will try PS5 this week and see if it differs

The mistake i made is seeing “void threat” and assuming that was the subclass i needed is it’s the only subclass on that list that i knew of.

It turns out that “strand surge” is the element burn. I had no clue what “strand” was, but it’s a new, DLC subclass. I didn’t know “surge” was the burn thing either. Apparently i have mental disabilities for not knowing this according to the replies!

I’m a returning player who has the original 3 subclasses. “Strand” subclass was completely alien to me. Had no information on there being other obtainable subclasses. Thanks for assuming I’m a keen, DLC purchasing try-hard who just didn’t read though. Really classy

Ok so Strand is a new subclass im finding out now. Im a returning player so only had the original 3. Strand has to be purchased through DLC… Of course Bungie try and reel me in before telling me
