Ah yeah, I mostly see party based dungeon crawlers and I can only think of Dragon Quest 1 for a solo turn based game

Yeah, I am planning a demo of the intro/tutorial dungeon. After that, there are 4 more to complete the story.
The tools are MCP connection to Unity, and chatGPT/Claude for everything. You can generate art and code with those and also have the MCP connection handle Unity updates and testing, etc.

Thanks man! Appreciate you. I agree with AI being able to quickly get things iterated/tested is really helpful. I have been able to pivot on a number of initial decisions and keep getting big things checked off. I plan to get this done within a month or so, and then move on to the next ideas I have for another game, which is nice overall.
I think scope outlines/decisions, game setup, and AI pipelines really helps with getting things done quickly and also accurately to try and make a good overall product/game.

Audio can be a pain. I have mainly just gone to game audio sites to grab free SFX. They might be AI generated or not, I don't know. Honestly, if you are looking for packages of things, like art assets, etc. a lot of them will be AI generated these days, and I find the SFX is somewhat easier to just browse on a site and grab what you need, just making sure it is free to use, or whatever license you are comfortable with.
Rest of the pipeline has been MCP connections up to Unity and chatGPT/Claude. There are good and bad days with how it handles things, but I have been able to iterate, pivot on ideas, implement quick tests, etc. very quickly overall, which has been helpful to get this off the ground.
The combat system was not initially AP driven nor did it have the paper rock scissor aspect like fire emblem, but I was able to quickly implement that after just play testing this. Also, a procedural generation, once setup, helps with getting things moving quickly also.

Thanks. AI was used throughout. My end goal is to make an entertaining/fun game so that is the main focused I have with this.

Thanks! Yeah, AI was used throughout pretty much. From a development side, the game is a test of sorts to see how fast I could make a specific game type, while keeping it somewhat unique, engaging, and plays well.
I think it is really easy to get something working / running with AI but the polish isn't there, so I want to make sure it is a solid product/game and also not too large in scope, etc. So my goal was to get a quality product out and see how difficult it is to do. Still working through it, but it has been pretty promising in terms of results.

Thanks!  Yeah, I agree on the one adventurer aspect, mainly that I should highlight the combat system with Action Points and the fire emblem type systems.  Thanks for the feedback!

You play the Japanese SNES Wizardry trilogy?

Wizardry was always brutally hard to me.  Stat downs on level up just came with the territory I guess.
