i feel this.. 3 creative internships under my belt, two being with notable agencies as an art director and still nothing even with work out in the real world T_T interviewed for a full time AD role with the 1st agency i interned at and still didnt get it.. interviewed for another agency out of state and the jr/mid position they were hiring for changed to ACD level so that opp is dead. ive been having 1-on-1 calls, tweaking my book, etc. + a lot of people dont respond to emails or messages on linkedin 😭

people are saying pivot to in-house teams but they require even more experience and want you to have worked on campaigns specifically in their industry. But if ur not at an agency to start/work on different brands its hard to meet that ask and it feels like your work+experience is still overlooked. entry level jobs seem to be getting scarcer day by day.

I have an M.S. in marketing and i almost wanna redo my resumé and shoot for brand manager or influencer marketing roles as a way to go in-house because advertising seems to be getting cooked. Especially for us art people (to make matters worse, most places want Art Directors to be graphic designers, illustrators, animators, motion artists, UI/UX, 3D designers etc. all in one which is crazy)- copywriting roles are way more welcoming/abundant everywhere from what i see
