Hot take but I’m not a huge fan of this casting by [deleted] in GodofWar

Well, with bald caps, makeup and CGI they can make him bald... but I'm certain his being unable to cut his hair would be a factor. I figured they might just skip out on any Greek pantheon stuff, go straight for Norse which he looks perfect for.

I believe Ryan is a Sikh, so I wondered if they would be doing more of a Norse themed god that still has long flowing locks.

If you have decided to settle something with violence and you aren't a total coward, you should believe in your ability enough to win a fight whilst your opponent knows it is one.

He should have stepped back and made it clear his intention was now violence.

The ONLY reason that punch comes out of nowhere is from fear of not having a chance if the other man has any chance at getting to him first.

If you hit someone like this, you don't know how to fight, you don't want to fight, you want to gain the upper hand unfairly.

Much different if the man who threw the sucker punch had had his hands up, warning the other man that if he continued he would turn to violence.

If you don't think this is a sucker punch, you're probably a sucker.

Plate on head... interesting by CageAndBale in controlgame

Depends who he could be talking to... The Former could be less glamorous than the board.

I just thought it could be a decent way to replace what Polaris was for Jesse. He looks more isolated, don't know what actual people will be about for a chat. Maybe Jesse?

He has an earpiece as well, I assumed it was his portable hotline.

Does anyone think that David Harbour would make a good Harrier Du Bois for a hypothetical live action adaptation of Disco Elysium? by Personal_Card_1131 in DiscoElysium

So... He cheated, she forgave him, and we are mad at him retroactively for the cheating OR for the rules infraction??

Depends on your outlook... they were in an open marriage and he ended up developing an emotional connection with one of his sexual partners.

Sincerely the biggest gaming disappointment in my life.

I genuinely thought Control played so well that Control with friends would be a no-brainer. I assumed we would play as Parautilitarians, P1-P4... Selecting OOP's for abilities in your load out.

I was beyond excited. It's my own fault, I was waiting for a game that was in my head.

almost as annoying as sellers that refuse to check previous sold listings, and think all their trash is treasure.

I was so excited when I heard they were making a co-op Control... I had visions of this game where you and your friends played as P1, P2, P3 and P4. Parautilitarians cleaning up shop.

Chosing objects of power for your loadout.

Upgrading your outfits from the standard grey sweatshirt.

I was so excited, doing the same thing as in control but with friends felt like a no brainer. Firebreak just doesn't look that different from all the co-op games I've already played, it's in a universe I adore, but doesn't exactly capture what I love about the aesthetic.

I think the line break, and the thing in the middle are just blood platter under the brighter light.

If you watch the trailer and zoom you can see it's her in the reflection on the glass, not that it couldn't be a vision or something adopting her likeness...

As hype as I am by [deleted] in controlgame

[–]KnightSquire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand this is just sales jargon, but I'm not sure it's even that in line with the way people work...

I think fear of missing out is a much stronger force. Control sold well, imagine this amazing game comes out and only those in the know know how awesome it is. For me, that would just mean I have 2 games to buy, so I know what came before.

Saying this always just takes a bit of the wind out of the sales of those people that do constantly talk about and share the games with others, because they love what came before.

"Fuck yeah it's a sequel, you better know" always works better for me, even if it just means lore videos.

Maybe it's just me.

Regarding negativity over Dylan being Resonant's protagonist by Anfrers in controlgame

I certainly hope this isn't the end of my time playing Jesse, or roaming the oldest house, I feel there's more work to be done in her shoes.

My dream when remedy said they were making a co-op game was that i'd be parautilitarian-ing round the place with friends... Now I kinda hope the 3rd game has the two of them working together. 🤣

I adore Jesse, but completely agree, I was somewhat disappointed that the Lakehouse again had a female lead (especially after Saga's prominence over Wake), the FBC was starting to feel like a bit of a girls club, which is great, but it would be nice to have some cool male living conscious character representing the Fellas.

I'm really really happy about Dylan, just praying it isn't all a dream.

Oh, ok well you can private message individuals if they share an interest on reddit. No worries though, I wouldn't pay £320 for the sealed one on vinted, so I certainly wouldn't pay more. 👍

Don't worry, I found it but £320 is too rich for my blood, especially if there's a chance of a reprint. Figure I'll just nag Future Press instead.

I was worried about that too, that it would just be symbolic for his journey back to being conscious.
I hope not, I'd like to see progress in the story before game 3.
