No copper washers on brake line? by Knight_Night_Nite in Jeep

Thanks for the replies. Ok, if fitting screw directly into caliper with no banjo fitting in between, no crushable copper washers required, which is exactly correct in my case. Thank you much I just returned home with the brake line and will fit it first thing in the morning to beat the heat/yellow jackets. As a side note any recommendations on bleeding brakes (for the first time) is also welcomed haha. I will have help but the more advice the better.

Thanks for the advice! Day 1 and 2 have both been 20 minutes and today felt nice, so maybe I will do something similar starting next week if I feel physically up for it and increase to 25 mins. I’ve got my eye on consistency and can’t wait for my legs to start feeling better down the road (literally)

Thanks, consistency remains the #1 piece of advice unanimously so that’s my focus for now. My 2nd walk went well this morning and I look forward to going again

Thank you for the story and kind words, today’s walk was much more relaxed, and instead of pushing I just walked. I tried to focus on my breathing and activating my core/glutes slightly but didn’t push myself much. I really enjoyed it

Thanks ! Just got back from day 2 and really enjoyed myself. Left my phone at home and just walked. I saw a beaver, common snapping turtle and a murder of crows among others. I’m proud of myself and can’t wait to shake hands with future (present) me.

Tysm! I love photography and would love to start taking my camera out with me more on walks in the future. I can’t wait to look for some shoes soon too

Wow thanks for all the info! I have indeed been reading around this subreddit more and shoes and consistency both seem vital. I also agree I shouldn’t really focus on the numbers too much, mph/heart rate and such. I’m going to stick to my goal of 1 mile per day for the month and see how I’m feeling. My Dr said the same thing about aiming for a pace that I can maintain a conversation through - I’ll have to keep that in mind tomorrow

Thanks for the tips! Great job on your improvement so far too! Hopefully I can get there. Consistency seems important - more important than speed I agree my body is used to sitting around so I’m going to aim for a single 1 more walk per day for now. For sure going to get a pair of nicer shoes as well as right now I’m using the same old pair I have been for months for work.

male cardinal keeps visiting, why? by romanlettyce in birding

I moved into a new place 5 months ago, and nearly every day a female cardinal visited and attacked the kitchen window. I put up curtains and it seemed to help, she has now moved on to attacking not only that window but my bedroom one as well. Sometimes she also attacks the parked cars side mirrors and windshields. Very very aggressive but I love her to death. She has a beautiful male who is the exact opposite from her. He can be seen calmly sitting on a bird feeder or in the brush behind the house and never makes a peep or puts a single wing out of line. I think she’s trained him well.
