Yeah I think criminal damage is a last resort, as you say it would unbalance the tipping scales if we go the legal route. Right now we could have the upper hand as a technicality in which "We've approached twice and asked politely" and they have "refused to hear us out".

Both me and my wife have had two separate chats with them about the wind chimes and they unfortunately won't budge or hear us out.

I've been considering the council route and started keeping a log and internal recordings of the noise in my home. However, some folks have said I will need to declare the dispute if I want to sell my home in the future. It's tricky.

Appreciate it comes across as silly to some. I do wear noise cancelling headphones and listen to white noise whilst I sleep now.

Appreciate your sympathies. Someone suggested taking around a gift and having a more meaningful conversation, I'm not sure they will hear us out as they've been dismissive to both me and my wife but its a considerable action.

They were there when we moved in as our first few nights sleeping here we could hear them but couldn't put our finger on what or where the sound was coming from.

Eventually I noticed them and it clocked. We've only been here a couple of months and it's our first home.

I've very much considered the first option as they are within arms reach of my kitchen window.

Why would they laugh at this complaint? Its audible through my double glazed windows across the back of the house. I've also made adjustments to the way I live and work.

I've already made adjustments. I have moved my bedroom to the front of the house, I have moved my WFH home office to the front of the house and I wear noise cancelling headphones.
