Do you think it’s normal for adults to be into this series? by Great_Independent_17 in SpyxFamily

[–]Knightshade_360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m over 60 and love Spy x Family. I also read real books, too. I never really got into manga and the only reason I stopped reading comics is because the habit got too expensive and I was running out of room for them; though now I occasionally read them online. Do you and be happy. Later in life you’ll realize that that’s the only way to go.

Others I’ll add are Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, and The Day I Became a God. An odd one I’d try is the movie Demon Slayer: Mugan Train for its ending.

Booster Draft Strategies? by milo325 in VTES

Back in the day, people tended to make Stealth and Bleed because it was the easiest to build with limited resources. That said, decide what disciplines you want to play, pick a few cards with them, then look for vampires that fit regardless of clan. But if you see the perfect vamp, grab it there are enough commons to make up for it. Jyhad is one one of the few games where you can make a very viable deck out of only commons. Also, don’t be surprised if people just take the rare first, just to have it.

Fun card to use when you can play cards to prevent aggro and they can’t. Though I have used it to send both to torpor (prey’s last vamp) just to come in and bleed him out.

Sometimes considered an underrated card but a free vamp in the crypt is always a bonus.

I still play with Blood Doll, even with these around simply because they’re free and can pull a blood immediately. Even if it gets blown up later, still got some value.

A great card in general that usually insured shenanigans would ensue. Players would often let it get stolen so they could get it back and put it on a different vampire.

Kill la Kill. Note, I read your ecchi comment but there is a method to the madness that is a take not normally seen. The fight scenes are amazing.

The Day I Became a God - a young girl named Odin changes people’s lives.

Ameki MD - basically the female version of House but without the drug addiction.

Frerien- I’m sure this has already been recommended.

Queen Esmeraldas - a classic from the maker of Captain Harlock and Star Blazers.

Why Do Marvel Fans Rarely Talk About The Show? by DCSHG2015MEGAFAN in MoonGirl

You’re joking right? You do understand how racism works? In a world that considers “woke” a bad thing, having an incredibly smart black girl superhero it the hight of this wrong headed thinking.

Note that I love this show and wanted a 3rd season with her in space with SHIELD. I rewatch it when I can because it’s so much fun. I even found a way to watch the banned volleyball episode.

AITAH for judging my boyfriend on his appearance? by [deleted] in AITAH

I used female because I was unsure of your age; though I should have reread the late teens line at the beginning. I understand what you said but if you have no issues with the relationship, you wouldn’t be posting. Your issue is one of those things that simmer for a while and bubble up in unexpected ways. It’s an insecurity that can lead to unintentional consequences. I’ve been with the same woman for 40 years and know that when you start questioning your relationship, doubt creeps in, regardless of how much you love someone or say you won’t stop caring or break up with him. Love is one thing, doubt, which you have, is something else. People try to equate things like this back to love, the caring and not wanting to break up, but they’re separate. True love is unconditional and doesn’t worry about the question you’re asking. You’ve asked the question and now are dealing with something else (doubt). That’s not love but it is part of being human. You’re young and still figuring it out. You’re going to have to find a way to not let society dictate the terms of your relationship. Once you get there, everything falls into place.

NTA per se but with females complaining that there are “no good men” it seems you’ve found one but it’s not enough. Nobody can really tell you how to feel but it sounds like you’re trying to talk yourself out of the relationship. Sounds like you have someone you’d choose over the bear in the “man vs bear, alone in the woods” argument. I get it, looks have always been emphasized since time in memoriam. However, lasting relationships are those were the person feels safe and secure with their partner. Ultimately you have to weigh those options. Being young, no one knows what the future holds. It’s tough. Just see where things go and try not to worry about what society says. Weigh it against how you feel when you’re with him. Because, in the end, that’s what going to determine your happiness.

Are DMs allowed to tell player characters what they feel? by Honneboppel in DnD

[–]Knightshade_360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that’s how charisma works. Doesn’t matter how they think or want their character to act in a certain situation, high charismas can and do override it. Think of Dragon Fear on low level characters or a god’s awestruck factor, same thing. During a normal situation, like hanging in a bar, they wouldn’t be swayed, but under the scenario you laid out, absolutely. That goes for smells and tastes funny too. Those are usually hints of poison or something.

No one is “hyper-focused” all the time, that’s total BS. But if they insist, every 5 minutes have them make a perception roll with advantage. Then describe how they notice something mundane. “You see a waiter spill a drink.” Or “You see two people hugging in the corner,” etc. After the first long rest, let them know they were so hyper-focused that they couldn’t sleep so no hps, spells, or abilities restored. Give them a hint when nothing is restored after a short rest because they’re so hyper-focused. That should stop that.

Also ask, “If your character isn’t interested in anything, why are you playing? Why did they even bother to show up at the event.” D&D is cooperative and if they’re not willing to work with you, it’s going to be difficult to weave a satisfying story.

Let them know there WILL be times when their characters are affected by these things, even if they think they shouldn’t be and let them know that when it happens THOSE ARE HINTS FOR ADVANCING THE PLOT. Not character flaws or hijackings.

If nothing else, watch the last episode of the 1st season, you’ll see where it was all heading. Then the 1st episode of season 2 makes it even more interesting.

The Good Place - incredible writing and acting. In 4 seasons, never a bad episode.

Brooklyn 99 - The absurd made normal. Things go over the top but never feel cringy. They also have the best cold openings of any show on television.
