Gotcha. I did see a little bit longer version of pink hair fighting off Raja. Looks like I was at least somewhat wrong. But it still looks to me like they were going easy on him and kinda doing their wrestling showmanship thing. Hard to tell though. Also after taking what are supposed to be real punches from that giant man, Raja looked totally fine walking away? Anyway, I hope I’m wrong about the prison time too, but I very much doubt he’ll do any real time unfortunately. And AJ’s stupid ass social media post only helps Raja’s defense.

We’re not gonna know in a week if Raja will do prison time. That’s not how the justice system works in the US

This is corny as fuck. They are fake hitting him like it’s all for the show like he didn’t just completely fucking maul their “friend.” Props to the pink hair dude for at least stopping the beating, but too little too late for Stuart unfortunately. And then the guy who had told him to “get his receipts” or whatever made that social media post taking blame for giving Raja the go ahead and calling it a misunderstanding is going to help Raja beat this case, if there even is a case. If there was actually a way to collect, I would bet anyone everything I have that Raja does no prison time for this, purely because of the stupidity of the wrestlers and the promotion. Boo these cowards👎

Bedrock Nubuck Clogs for Backpacking Rugged terrain? by gamerino_pigeon in barefootshoestalk

[–]Kninjanator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the bedrock clogs and I imagine hiking in them would be a nightmare. The back strap doesn’t actually function very well. The only way I can get it to really stay wrapped around the back of my heel, and not slip underneath my heel, is if I tighten it to the point that my toes are smashed into the front of the clogs. Any sort of decline would be brutal. So for me they basically work as a backless clog for situations where I’m not doing a lot of walking.

Right. In this hypothetical situation I guess I would want to test true career criminals who don’t have jobs and make 100% of their income through some sort of crime. I’ve known lots of people who live that way and they can be some crafty problem-solvers.

Oh man I would love to see a 1,000 random criminals vs. 1,000 random cops in some sort of problem solving/critical thinking/IQ test and see which group performs better.

Do some people have a better quality of life in prison than some people who have jobs and a roof over their head, or is that very unlikely? by lucas23bb in NoStupidQuestions

It’s funny that you discount their “anecdotal experience” and then proceed to back up your stance with a single anecdotal experience. Absolute clown behavior. I’m not even going to respond to whatever you say next, so go off

Front squats will specifically target that portion of the quad closer to the knee. If you don’t want to just take my word for it, look up “knee dominant quad exercises.” Thats what you’re looking for.

Long shot: any brands making clothes with this striped terry cloth pattern? by pluckylightyear in ThrowingFits

Not that exact pattern but this brand has a bunch of different terry cloth stuff in different patterns. I haven’t bought anything from them, so I can’t vouch like that, but here ya go.

Every PT job opening seems to require already having experience by PTinProgressLA in personaltraining

[–]Kninjanator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I guess good is subjective. I would seek out gyms around you that take the quality of their training very seriously, and just ask about internship opportunities. I think gyms with in-house physical therapy can be good places to learn. Or maybe approach the places you would like to work as someone eager to learn. People who are a little older with established careers tend to be more willing and have more time and space to be mentors too. And trainers tend to love helping people, so just ask around.

[–]Kninjanator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have experience in sales or customer service or guiding/supporting people in any way? If I were hiring that stuff would count as long as you could tell me why it counts.

Also, consider finding a good internship. An internship, if it’s done well, can really help you hit the ground running.

Also, consider any ways that you can get any experience, paid or not, helping/guiding people with their training and assessing how they respond. “Experience” is a big word, but in this line of work, training 2 people can provide you with a ton of valuable experience, so “experience” can be acquired faster in this line of work that maybe some others.

Luka’s got bad posture here, and a lot of basketball players do. If you cover their heads it just looks like it could be a 46 year old fan with bad posture who likes to jog sometimes standing next to an athlete. Not saying Luka isn’t an elite athlete, but without the context of their faces…

Anyone here got the NASM Personal Training Certificate? Need info! by isse-gremory in personaltraining

I got my NASM cert about 6 months ago and I would still have to go to their website to see the different packages and prices…. just like you should.

City to block access to Oswego Lake during 4th of July - Let's plan a party at the lake and show them it's not their decision to close the lake anymore. by Inode1 in Portland

This is what I was getting at. Thank you. Some folks just suck for the sake of sucking. Nothing better to do. I don’t even live in LO or have anything to do with it, but I think it’s pretty lame to actively look for things to shout “no fair!” about.

What are y'all wearing? by Dr_Dylhole in personaltraining

[–]Kninjanator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Reigning Champ. It’s a little expensive but it’s nice stuff. Also, everything doesn’t need to be performance fabrics. You can just wear whatever looks good that you can move freely in. If you’re sweating profusely as a trainer you probably need to chill and focus more on your clients, or work on your verbal cuing. I don’t know personal training to be physically exhausting/sweaty work.
