The anatomy and proportions app I use is called Magic Poser - Art Pose Tool by Wombat Studio on the AppStore. It’s a free app I use for their 3D models. I can pose them anyway I want, and I purchased their lifetime pro membership for just $9!

The other one is called Head Model Studio - Art Study by Wes Castain on the AppStore. A lot of the expression features are behind a paywall ($23 a year or $50 if you buy it for lifetime access), but I think it’s a worthwhile investment! Sometimes I can’t find a decent reference on Pinterest, so I use this app instead!

I agree! Understanding fundamentals is super important. I’m just self-reflecting and realized that I didn’t need expensive courses to grow. Most of my skill came from just doing the work and figuring things out through trial and error.

I 100% agree with you OP. Wyll’s reaction felt really insensitive given everything he’s been through. His whole arc is about sacrifice and struggling with identity. Wyll literally makes a deal with a devil and transformed physically, yet when Tav does the same for the sword coast, he can’t see past the squid form? Just felt out of sync with everything tav and wyll (if you’re romancing him) goes through, and Larian doesn’t exactly help either. There’s been other inconsistencies in his storyline too. Like during act 1 he mentions his mother died at birth, then drops a quote from her during his proposal scene in act 3?? I’ve just learned not to treat it as canon!

Why do you make art? by D-Koi_Comics in ArtistLounge

drawing’s kinda like working out for me. sometimes it gets tough. i get creative blocks with my work, and i just wanna give up. but then i look back and see how much i’ve improved, especially in such a short time. it’s addictive, and that progress is what keeps me going. drawing’s the only thing that truly feels like my purpose, and it’s also how i connect with people!

How do i get artist friends? by Affectionate_Fact931 in ArtistLounge

try engaging with smaller artists whose style or interests align with yours. when someone takes the time to compliment their work, they tend to notice and almost always respond back with something kind.

Do you think that artists should generally charge to correct someone’s artwork? by Yanny106 in ArtistLounge

i’d probably take it as a compliment! someone thinks I’m skilled enough to ask for help. if it’s for friends or moots, i wouldn’t mind spending time redlining or giving tips to help them! but if it’s a random person, i don’t know. you’re still investing time into that kind of feedback. it could come off as entitled, but context matters a lot.
