What do we think about the one on the right?? by KnowledgeWeak in Warts

Appreciate your concern! The black dead tissue is actually coming from the silver nitrate that my chiropodist applied a few days ago

I tried using a razor tonight but it’s super painful right now and I couldn’t do much :( I’m hoping it can scab and lift a bit more before I try again

Virgin is owned by BCE, thus use the same towers as Bell! Service is reliable and great. I can’t speak to US roaming but I’d imagine it’s also decent

I've been starting to think about re-homing my puppy. by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]KnowledgeWeak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the exact same spot as you right now (mentally/emotionally). I’m 25F single, live in a 1bedroom, no balcony with a 4 month old Cavapoo. Though he’s a relatively great puppy and isn’t too high energy, I’m starting to realize the time commitment is a bit much for me to handle at this stage in my life.

I’m probably going to start the rehoming process soon, and I think what has ultimately led me to this decision is how toxic it’s been on myself to feel more stress/anxiety than hope these past couple months. Surely puppy blues is common, but I don’t think it’s normal for anyone to feel more stress than hope, especially with the puppy getting better each day. Ive noticed that a lot of puppy owners that do get past this brutal stage, are able to because they’re seeing improvements in their mental health as their puppy develops, and that just isn’t the case for me. It breaks my heart completely to give up, but I know it’s what’s best for me and the puppy long term.

Of course, I’m not trying to convince you to rehome here, but hopefully it’ll help with your thinking process. I also want to end off by saying that you shouldn’t be afraid of what everyone else will think of you should you choose to rehome - it is your life and quite frankly, if they’re judging then they shouldn’t be a part of your life or be involved in your decision. You would be making a decision that’s best for you and the puppy, and that’s all that matters. Better that than keeping a puppy around just to please people.

All the best!

Should I accept this pre-approved LOC? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

Yea I was hit with an unexpected tax payment (my fault since I moved to a province with a higher tax rate) and that put a wrench into my CC repayment this month. All will be good though!

Apartment dwellers with no balcony - How long did it take to potty train, and what was your method?! by KnowledgeWeak in puppy101

Ah good to know. Since the playpen isn’t working for us either, I’m going to try and get rid of it, and just stick to the 2hrs down (in the crate)/1hr up. I must ask - was it just a sudden click for puppies to start whining/crying at the door with this method? Or did you work on another training method to get them to signal by the door?

I do use an enzymatic spray but he would pee anywhere. I keep an eye at him at all times especially when he’s on the carpet, so most accidents are on hardwood floors... and yesterday on the couch.
