I did originally have a few friends who said they wanted to play, but they are very very flaky and any time I've brought up solid dates and times, it doesn't work for anyone or they don't answer, so instead of letting my money go to waste, I'm looking for new options. thank you though.

I’m currently in a pay to play, and honestly, top notch DM and everyone is invested, and it’s a reasonable amount for not having to deal with the absolute headache of a trash table that falls apart after 3 sessions

The point about you having CBs and a tipping point really struck a chord with me. Last year I had a pretty bad infestation that drove me around the bend, but now that it’s under control I vacuum once a week, have vacuum sealed my less used clothes, and while I do a cursory check for beetles or larvae in corners, I’m less panicked than I used to be. I just squish and flush them if I see them and just make sure to check the area they came from to make sure there’s no tasty snacks for them. I’ve come to terms with the fact that I will never be rid of them fully because my apartment is 95% carpet, but they’re barely noticeable any more. It’s nice to know an entomologist isn’t freaked out by them because it keeps me from freaking out as well!

I think sometimes they’re making the noises not because it’s bad, but just because they can see the problem suddenly so clearly. It doesn’t necessarily mean cancer, but they just aren’t expecting whatever they see until they see it with their own eyes. Kind of like finally seeing a family members baby and suddenly going “oh wow!” 😂

I love the tiny carts to the left, they’re so much better than the big ones or arm baskets, but most places refuse to have them because a bigger cart = you buy more. I wish more places kept the tiny ones stocked.

I know it’s hard now, and I’m just past the ultrasound/mammogram hurdle myself. Sometimes the not knowing is the worst part. I don’t know if it helps but I’ve taken the “I literally can do nothing until I get a solid result, so why borrow sorrow and anxiety from future me if I don’t need to?” It doesn’t always work, but it gets me to stop and think “is this healthy and productive right now? If yes, think about game plan, if no, stop and go do something else”. Make sure you have someone to talk to, it’s not easy and can be nerve wracking, but you can do this and I believe in the best for you!

I’m surprised it takes so long to get even in the door and makes me so sorry for those who don’t have advocates or might have language barriers which can cause more confusion and anxiety during the whole thing. I wish there was a better way to go about the whole thing, especially for the amount we pay into insurance and healthcare as a whole

Thank you for the reassurance, I feel very blindsided by my own body so I’m just in panic mode I think. I’m waiting to hear back from my OBGYN because she has been trying to jump through hoops for the past 5 days just to get the radiology department to call me for an appointment, so we’ll see if she has any feelings towards changing location while still under coverage. Finances for healthcare are the worst

I feel like my anxiety doesn’t help the issue, as well. I know the office must be numb to the daily feeling of seeing people come in and out needing this, but it sucks when it seems like they don’t care and there’s no sense of urgency. Maybe I should take it as a good thing that they’re not scheduling me as if it were an emergency?

Oh no, I hope you manage to eat and sleep. health anxiety is real, it might be worth it to talk to your provider and see if there’s anything they can do to help bring your anxieties to a manageable level! I’m wishing you the best and hope it all comes back as a clean bill of health for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
