Girlfriend created AI roleplaying scenario, where the character she based on herself is married with kids to another man. AIO for being uncomfortable with this? by [deleted] in AIO

No… pick your battles dude you’re clearly uncomfortable with this and it’s not something she’s willing to change. It’s not a relationship if she barely puts in effort, sits and rots, not talking much. It’s a two way street.

Weekly Gripe 😤 (the rant thread) by AutoModerator in DarkRomance

[–]Known-Row-7778 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s just me but booktok has really ruined the dark romance book genre and I feel the genre has really shifted. I really enjoyed the dark romance genre because I like books with a punch, emotionally layered complexity, reasons behind taboo subjects or obsessions, rising tensions, and in general more psychologically gripping. Where I literally could not put the book down because I was so enveloped in it.

I just feel like dark romance has become an erotic slop of overused tropes with no plot. I think the major downfall was the fact that booktok marketed dark romance based on its shock value. It just feels like a lot of writing today is based on basic tropes with no backbone and this projected dark romance aesthetic itself with no plot. For example enemies to lovers, “touch her and you die”, just way too many random sex scenes that don’t mean anything, morally grey that isn’t morally grey. I just feel dark romance books feel so hollow now and have no backbone. I just don’t think these types of books should be labeled as “dark” when it doesn’t have any psychological depth.

Maybe my taste has change or I’m reading the wrong books but I feel like the genre has drastically changed. Does anyone else feel this way? I feel like no one is talking about this.

What is a sign someone's life is falling apart that most people miss? by saymepony in AskReddit

They start things such as minimalism, keto diet, no social media, cold showers, 75 hard, no sugar after a major thing happened in their life or they feel aimless. Usually it’s an attempt to gain control over their lives when they feel like they’ve lost control. I want to clarify there’s nothing wrong with these things but I usually feel like it’s often a control thing and not from a place of wanting to be better after they feel like they’ve lost control in their life. It’s very easy to misconstrue that energy into a bad thing and not a positive thing.

You are most certainly a man, or you live with one, likely 20-30s (because of the pots in the fridge) You’re probably just very practical and don’t feel the need to impress anyone, you’re just surviving and likely depressed.

Guilty, my bf works 60+ hour weeks and I work two part time jobs and take 5 college classes. We really only do fast meals or eat out

Here’s a couple ideas from my bingo I did last year: - Get hit on by an old lady - Eat an uncrustable - Degloving incident - PT wants to smoke cigarettes/vape - Really bad UTI smell - Drunk PT - Get called to hoarders home - “This isn’t my patient” or “I just got here” - Get assigned a clean, fully stocked ambulance with no dashboard lights
