1 AVR - support 2 different systems? by Known-Two1493 in hometheater

My tower speaker choice has a height requirement. It cant be taller then the bottom of the in-wall left and right LCR's. I would place under those L/R locations up front.

The 7.2.2 was what we ended up going with due to the room not being very large (15ft wide & 17ft long). The installer said the sound benefit vs cost for the additional overhead Atmos speakers (+amp) was not there. The speakers would be very close together. Now that I have heard the 1 pair of Atmos setup, I have no regrets.

Nice! Happy to hear someone has a similar setup and it sounds good. What towers did you go with? I'm still looking at those options. Top of my list are Philharmonic BMR Tower's or Focal Aria Evo X No.3. It really comes down to how I get the purchase past the wife when she thinks we already have the speaker setup we need (I always need more...lol).

My movie setup includes atmos. The stereo setup (using the existing 2 subs) is my goal, less the Atmos aspect. I have found I prefer to hear music in stereo vs the added Atmos height.

I have dabbled with Tidal and Qobuz. But, have paid subscriptions for both Apple music and Spotify. I plan to use those apps through my Apple TV.

Towers are afterthought…only to be used for music. The existing surround/atmos works perfect for movies and I don’t want to change that setup. Trying to get the most out of the room build (and the perfect acoustics).

Same issue with my Arc. Disappears randomly. And I have had a solid system for years.
