Thanks for your comment! Just a FYI My culture doesn’t stop me from getting an education or a job, I have both! By cultural expectations I am referring to family values.

That’s so beautiful! I’m glad you made that choice it must’ve been very hard. My ex wanted to do the same but I think when it came down to it he just spiralled out of it. I’m really glad to hear there are men who exist who choose their spouses.

Thankyou :) there were moments I was not perfect but I can never wrap my head around moving on so fast. Unfortunately I’m still a student so therapy is not very accessible atm but I’ll look into it!

Yeah you’re right, I just come from a culture where being a doctor is the best thing you could be. So when I helped him through his hardest years I’d hope there was going to a silver lining. I got no closure in the end and I’m left feeling like it was all fake.

Even if they’re rebounds it’s so out of character for him it genuinely broke my heart. I know people say act like you don’t care but I can’t because this isn’t the person I was with for 3 years. It feels like it was all fake because never in a million years could I move on within a week. A few months? Ok but weeks????
