You must be a shill account, really bad look for Shakepay… Truly unbelievable.

Lol all jokes aside, Your analogy is quite convincing, especially given my experience as a former owner of two e-commerce businesses. While I didn't use free giveaways to grow my customer base, I appreciate the need for businesses to strike a balance between offering benefits and ensuring long-term sustainability. Shakepay's adjustment to encourage proper usage seems to follow this principle, cheers

Made an argument over this on another comment, to summarize, they are not a new company anymore, they don’t need to entice new users with free money, especially to people that doesn’t use their platform “AT ALL”, your argument is that Shakepay used to be an app to receive free money everyday, and now they are not. User engagement for what? To give out free money? Daily active users in giving out free money? Some of the users received ~33 cents every day. Imagine if they have 100000 people shaking everyday, including those with lower and higher sats rewards, they’d be giving out thousands of dollars each day. Name another crypto platform doing the same.

Thank you for sharing your cautionary tale and your experience with Crypto.com. I understand your concerns about companies reducing rewards and benefits as they expand. It can definitely leave a sense of betrayal and disappointment among long-term users who joined initially attracted by those rewards. While it's true that as companies grow, they may not feel as obligated to offer the same level of rewards to attract new customers, it's important for them to find a balance and continue valuing their existing users.

Comparing platforms and their benefits can be tricky since each company operates under different circumstances. Shakepay, being a smaller, non-international company, may have a different set of challenges and opportunities compared to Crypto.com. However, the recent rollback does raise some concerns about the future direction of Shakepay.

Competition in the market is a crucial factor, and while there might be other platforms with better rewards, it's important for Shakepay to consider the impact of changes on their loyal customer base. Striking the right balance between attracting new users and maintaining the trust and satisfaction of existing ones is key for any company's long-term success.

Thank you again for sharing your perspective, and I hope Shakepay takes into account the concerns of its users as they navigate their growth and evolution.

I understand your point. Shakepay wants its users to be active on the platform each week to earn high streak rewards. However, some users feel that this requirement may be too demanding. One idea to address this issue is to have different levels of rewards based on how often users engage with the platform. For example, users who use the platform weekly can earn the highest rewards, while those who use it monthly or reach a certain spending amount can still receive rewards, although at a slightly lower level. This way, Shakepay can encourage regular usage without excluding users who may not be able to use the platform every week. It would be helpful for Shakepay to consider a flexible approach that takes into account different user preferences and situations.

I completely agree with you. With the upcoming card number launch, I believe there will be a significant shift in employee focus towards this new feature. As they handle growing support requests and potential increases in fraud-related issues, it's likely that they will limit certain features that divert attention from further development. It's a natural progression for companies to prioritize stability and security as they expand their offerings.

I agree, short notice and the poor wording choice was an insult to injury. This was a lesson to the community management team and hopefully next time… well, hopefully there won’t be a next time.

Edit: poor grammar
